Lagasea is not to be trusted and obviously intent on killing children. Look at the leader dude, Sam Woolford, he has a power boat, a certain sign he is a huge support of Trump? {insert face palm emoji thing}
Bugger me, this shoot the messenger and totally ignore the message crap is out of hand, no wonder so many have such serious issues when that sort of mind blowing utter stupidly exists.
Legasea can sit on their fingers doing fuck all if they like but I'm going to fight to try and keep the Gulf for ALL NZers irrespective of their skin colour, race or what boat they use.

Agree that is the objective. And you’re saying next way to achieve that is both the Auck Council feedback process and the Gulf users petition? Whereas harrytom is saying just stick to the Auck Council process?

Nothing will change as the Pakari IWI have been bang on about gulf closure for last 10yrs that I know of.Yes there needs some reform over gulf usage as we have all seen the decline in shellfish/fish stocks.The lack of seabirds and the general rubbish/litter on beaches and remote islands and rocks.It will never come to a non boating closure.Its a marine park and commercial activities need to cease but we also need to do our part at retaining what we have,No need for IWI or any forum to interfer.

Okay Pippa may have her view, but page 41 of the consultation document has this buried in it:
Ngā kaupapa here / Policies 14. Work with mana whenua on opportunities for greater involvement and partnership in park management including, but not limited to: a. options to participate in park management including co-management
The good old "co-governance or co-management". Not via democratic process but via "Te Tirtiri partnership". The selective reinterpretation (from one groups perspective) of the Treaty.
Don't confuse management or ownership with co-management or co-governance. Sure the council may still be "in control" but an unelected 50% may be calling the shots.

Agree but I think which ever group needs to work with local IWI for input,both sides not wrong or correct. Needs to be a partnership that involves all stakehoders,yes you and I are stakeholders/users

There is no mutual agreement even being attempted.
