The last 3 CZ posts are totally blank. Is the glitch pilot error or do we have something else in play? I'm seeing them fine. Do you have some sort of advanced ad blocker on your device?

After I made that post I couldn't get in at all. Loaded up looking OK but only had a solid black screen. Tried all sorts, no go. Turned off all possibles and still no go. Just tried again in passing and boom now working again. Nothing changed since it said No, bugger off.
Only this site and still no idea why but suspect it maybe some thing to do with 3rd party trackers, this site does seem to have a few more than usual. Probably where they make the coin to keep it free for the users.
Weird.
But still not seeing at least 3 of CZ's post, the weird continues.
And agree with Mr Phish, that is dam clever Sloop.

It is probably just the GCSB installing you monitoring gear on your device. You have obviously been flagged to them as some sort of subversive that can think for yourself or something. True story. Many moons ago, when the internet and email were relatively new (early this century) I was backpacking in Vietnam. I was with a small group of British guys, one of whom was using encrypted email, way before encrypted was a thing. We had the local secret police checking our passports at our hotels - I think that bit is normal as all hotels get you to leave your passports at reception. Anyway, on two occasions in Hanoi we were clearly being followed. One was comedy bad, where we were in a big posh hotel lobby / bar area for a birthday treat, and there was this secret police guy sitting on a sofa pretending to read a newspaper - like one of those cartoons with the spy holding a paper infront of him with eye holes cut out. Anyway, the internet was soo slow, emails would download at a slow reading pace. Then at about lunchtime the internet would stop altogether, nothing downloading, no emails opening. Our theory was that the secret police were actually reading everything that we were trying to download, and would just pause the internet while they had lunch, then carry on reading our shit as we downloaded it after lunch. This modern AI spywear and key word search stuff is so much faster and more efficient. I can't imagine a bunch of middle aged secret policy were that interested in how many Thai Buckets we had in Nga Trang, although they might have been mildly interested about the hot Polish girl at the scuba place in Da Nang. Just standard backpacker smack-talk. Hardly a threat to national security.

This is clever but also quite scary, subliminal messaging is powerful.

No idea what's going on, only the black screen for the last couple of days again*, and someone cowardly softcoft being a twat has been considered. Unlikely but these days who the fuck knows.
D1 and I are planning our next adventure. The 2nd page of the tours info goes to length to ensure we know any devices we have at the border will be copied and maybe retained until we depart. We will be watched in assorted manners, some will be obvious some will be covert. Our hotel rooms are very likely to be searched at some stage. Plus a pile of what not to take photos of or say. Plus the local will chat quite happily but also very cautiously so please don't ask them awkward questions. What a wonderful sales pitch, but one we fully expected so not a biggie. But can't go at the moment, the border is still shut but word in just last week from the tour mob suggests it may opening again this month.
* - turned off all security, blockers and so on, made no difference. Goes to the site and loads or appears to as per normal but all I get is a black screen. Was doing it then a few days ago a passing 'why the hell not attempt' worked fine, then stopped and then another random have a go just now and working again. All a bit weird considering the logs show no changes in my end and it is only this site. But on sussing why a few security things I have shows this site has lots of trackers and 3rd party connections. A lot of security things when you optimise their potential do have big issues with 3rd parties. It maybe something there but then that doesn't explain the on / off nature of the niggle. Thank fuck the IT industry doesn't build boats, mind you if they did it would help with the earths over crowding.

I read a book maybe 6 months or a year ago that was written by someone you possibly know. They are into batshitcrazy motorcycle touring in the most random places you could possibly think of, hence the possible connection. In order to out-do themselves in their quest for the most batshitcrazy place to motorcycle tour, then actually managed a trip through the DPRK. Took several years to organise mind you. Whilst reading it, I was thinking, I bet that is silly enough for GO30 to want to try. Fairly sure the book was called 'Dancing with the Machine', which was actually about mountain climbing. The motorcycle touring part was just a side story. Anyway, the trip you describe above would align with the account in that book, and I certainly wouldn't put it past you ;-)

Same place but no bikes, they have shut any sort of freestyling down down big time. The current Kim is the most paranoid Kim they reckon. We have to go to Beijing and join a tour to go in, and back, from there. We're 80% sorted but can't do much more until the border opens.

We have to go to Beijing and join a tour to go in, and back, from there. We're 80% sorted but can't do much more until the border opens. That would be an amazing trip. There would be something very unique about going to a country that doesn't suffer mass tourism, and is in itself a little time capsule and unique culture. I went through Cambodia in the early 2000's, not many years after they opened the borders (2 or 3 I think). Very refreshing experience. We went from Cambodia direct to Vietnam, where they have been practicing riping off American's for the last 40 plus years. Vietnam was a complete ball-ache for getting ripped off and haggling compared to a freshly opened Cambodia. Which reminds me of Cuba. They are so upfront with ripping tourists off they have a separate special tourist currency. About 6 times as much as the local currency. I really liked that - upfront and honest with how they are milking you, with no hassle or niggle. Being a tourist it is to be expected, and being polite and open about getting ripped off is super refreshing.
