Thinking it about it more I think they might have been a bit curious to see Fogg showing as registered in Cook Islands on transom but as an NZ vessel on AIS. Presumably a quick check on their database would have confirmed that Fogg is indeed NZ registered and tax & duty paid.

They came past me this morning. I offered a friendly wave but all I got back was a stern glare. God knows what these guys think I’m up to. I even double-checked that I have my receipt for GST & import duty that I paid for Fogg last year - just in case they asked…

So one of the driving factors to get the TrueKit dinghy + ePropulsion outboard was to make the whole setup stable, light & easy for my wife to go off fishing on her own late afternoons. The investment seems to have paid off as today she came back with this and then filleted it and cooked it to perfection. I’m obviously now superfluous to requirements!
