Oh good golly. Having a giggle about this thread and one here is a medical and suggested there is genuine Schizophrenia being exhibited in this thread. I googled it and shes right, the symptoms do stack up.

But make no mistake, your underprivileged childhood, was NOT YOUR FAILING. Of course my childhood or having my ancestors fucked over by pommies gits was not of my doing, I totally agree. But then I do not regard my childhood as underprivileged, that list is just a made up one by someone for political purposes. Like poverty, NZ can never ever get rid of it because it is measured by a % so if every NZer* was a billionaire living on their own super yacht attended to by 20 staff, we'd still have the same poverty as we do today.
But how I choose to deal with it certainly was. Like most in the word we won't forget it and we will remind people when the situation arises in an effort to make sure its not repeated on anyone else but we will not make ourselves victims, bring up our kids telling them they are victims or blame everyone else for our failings until the day we die. I choose rather than play the victim card with all the downsides that comes to move on for the betterment of myself, my family and those around me.
I was in Cambodia just before Covid and went to one of the killing fields in Phnom Penh. We got a guide for the day, a real nice dude in his 50's, probably older, they do tend to ages better than us. We got to the killing field and before we got to far the guide sat us down and said to watch for a few things, out of respect, like the bones coming up from the ground and other such evil shit. He then quite calmly held up his phone with a photo of another dude on it. He said 'This was a friend of mine, we talked a lot, we don't talk now'. He discovered his 'mate' was a senior member of the Khmer Rouge. You could see the sadness in his face, it was rather moving in a place that moves you large already. Later he invited us back to his house for dinner. As it pans out he takes in street kids and his daughter teaches them english and his wife is a awesome cook. Anyway during the evening I asked him 'If his ex-mate was known as a Khmer Rouge senior why hasn't someone taken him out?', baring in mind only a few decades ago 35% of the country got murdered. He replied 'If I take him out what happens next? His son has to take me out, then what happens? My son has to take out his son' he then paused for quite a while before quietly saying 'Where does it stop?'.
* - assuming one day anyone was allowed to be a New Zealander.

Easy fix. Draw a line from Dargiville across to southern side of the Breynderwins out to Maungawai. Then extract all Non Maori build a fence.Yep its yours,No power/water/pubs or Benifits. Your on your own. And they cant leave. Seriously though,interesting read that its suppose to be basically shared governing, where to now?? more tax payer $$ as koha from wrong injustice. |

Nope ...but it will extend "grievances" for another 100 years. I've long maintained that Britain /UK/ Crown /Royals should be doing the paying. As a Johnny come lately (so to speak) in that I was born here none of that is my fault or responsibility. I've paid for what I've got and object to paying again...and again
