Gents, if I may be as bold as to exaggerate a little there
A gent in the Std Island has/is developing this auto bum wiping device. His website is here - easycradle.co.nz/
I see a ? around skegs and maybe the keel hull join but there is something there that has me coming back to it. Chatting with designer dude, a nice older chap, the system can be tweaked to marinas or moorings or whatever the 'wave action' is where you want to use it.
Have a ponder and let me know what you see.
Oh and very ball park a system for a 50fter would be around 10-13K

Great idea …my first thought is the maintenance needed of the easy cradle itself . No doubt the cradle itself will grow stuff and could be a bastard to handle if it was bejewelled with barnies . I suppose taking the thing home for a waterblast is easier and cheaper than hauling your boat for cleaning .
A hard antifoul would be the go , soft paint would be gone in a week or two .
But good on him it’s a step in the right direction and I hope it works well

Yes the key Qs? for me would be:
1. How to cater for modern designs with a SD leg mounted well fwd of the rudder (probably only about 2/3 down length of boat)
2. Calm marina with minimal wave action - will it get enough agitation?

The old man often toyed with the idea like a upside car wash where one could drive boat through and have a gentle bum clean.

It can be tweaked to the wave action where it is being used.
3The cradle can be blasted every now and again if needed.
Yeah the stern leg/ keel hull join/rudder areas could be tricky. I think, and it's just a think, the cradle can be tweaked to get things where needed but I'm also thinking those areas man ned a bit of manual attention now and again.
The designer dude said no anti fouling needed......but I'm thinking the same as em, a good hard one.
There are a few of these in use right now in the Sth Island. One on a 50ft yacht I believe. I have been told the owner of that boat is happy to chat about his experience. I might give him a call just out of interest.
