interesting is it easier to get jail time now if you're white? is applying the law unequally being seen as one way of addressing the racial imbalance in our jails? Stuff reported in February that Arps sent text messages to his probation officers, calling them “worthless”, “fat”, “piss-weak” and “violently disgusting”.He was convicted of using obscene language and today Arps was sentenced to jail for the offences.www.nzherald.co.nz/nz/white-supremacist-philip-arps-jailed-over-abusive-messages-to-probation-officers/ROKT4W2KQRDNREIYH4WHQ3IM6Q/i understand he's pretty offensive fellow but are angry people of other 'races' being jailed for mouthing off at the authorities?

I wouldn't use Arps as any barometer of wider injustices. That, and I'm not sure the media published all of the offensive messages he sent. I think several were too offensive to publish, and the ones qouted are just the piss-weak ones.

A fire in a pile of rubbish in the carpark of Kings Square Apartments on Broadway in the suburb of Newmarket damaged a beam on Tuesday evening, which in turn undermined shop fronts on the ground floor.Braces had to be installed by Urban Search and Rescue teams to keep the building structurally sound.Fire and Emergency said it believed the fire was deliberately lit, and a number of people near the scene told RNZ they heard an explosion after seeing a group of young people running from the carpark. The fire sent smoke billowing across Newmarket and forced an evacuation of the train station.www.rnz.co.nz/news/national/488228/newmarket-residents-allowed-back-to-fire-damaged-apartment-block

If a couple of little shits can endanger the structural integrity of a large apartment block and railway station, there are some other fundamental issues. Reminds me off "the Front Fell Off" We have very strict construction standards; like?; No paper; No Paper derivatives; Cardboard is out; And we have strict minimum crewing requirements; Such as?; Well, one, obviously.

Escalating youth crime on the Hibiscus Coast has left one father asking whether he should move away from New Zealand altogether. When the Auckland dad – who Stuff agreed not to name to protect his son’s safety – found out his 15-year-old boy had been chased home from school while being threatened with stabbing for the second time, he decided “enough was enough”.“My son’s too scared to go to the supermarket, too scared to go to the gym or cinema, too scared to get a part-time job.“But the police say there’s nothing they can do because of the offenders’ ages, so what’re we meant to do? Sell up and leave Auckland? Leave the country?”www.stuff.co.nz/national/crime/300873473/family-considers-leaving-nz-after-son-chased-home-threatened-with-stabbingall good labour have the balance on crime and punishment about right which is why crime is falling! the above isn't really a crime as a young person did it once he's got this violent bully and gang thing out of his system he will no doubt grow up to be a pillar of society, contribute more than he takes and become a shining model for youth yeah right

Be interesting to see how he reacts to this, leading up to the election. Rodney is an incredibly safe seat for Mitchell. He normally wins by 10,000 votes or more. Ex Cop, ex mercenary in Iraq (sorry, security adviser). Tough talking. As the area's MP I'd be keen to see what he does. That and my vested interest, living here with kids at 8 & 10. I know my neighbours boy was chased home by a group of youths (all from Whangaraparaoa College). He wanted to leave school all together, his parents had a hell of a time keeping him in education and engaged in learning.

The great reset has gone very well as she promised. The only promise she kept. That bimbo has dragged us all down and we are now, as close to the bottom of the equality pit as only a communist govmit could hope for in that time frame. And I don't see much hope of Nats /Act lifting us up out of it. Crime up about the same percentage of drop in prison numbers. Even I can join those dots

Crime in NZ is just getting totally out of hand.
After some effort to bring our Fish back from just being a stick after it was ravaged for the 3rd time, it was looking very good and growing awesome but last weekend it joined the ranks of NZ dairy owners after it also suffered another ram raid. I have just taken steps to simulate a NZ dairy as I'm not letting the fuckers win.

teen murderer could be out in 2 years after stabbing to death the person who gave him a ride www.nzherald.co.nz/nz/northland-teen-jailed-for-manslaughter-of-good-samaritan-who-gave-him-a-lift/VCXLSRT7YZAEPBZ75MXE2QWLPY/Before setting off to the house the youth had selected a 12-inch long knife from his home and told the other youth he was going to use it in “the carjacking”. He intended to use it to frighten Mrs Biggins into handing over the “flash” car so they could visit friends in Kaitaia.
... During the ride it’s believed Biggins was threatened with the knife, but refused to hand over the car, leading the boy to stab him.

If anyone still needs confirmation of the state NZ is in this story should do it. Absolutely unbelievable. This cretin could be out in under 2 years. So thats the worth of human life in NZ in 2023. 25% discount for 'circumstances'.What about victims circumstances ? I really hope this gets appealed. The shits murdered this poor chap. And still Scott Watson rots in jail after 24/25 years with no bodies. I'd like to hear Hipkins and police commissioner Spongebob Squarepants telling NZ that they should feel 'safe'. We are disgusted and appalled

Cam Slater citing an article by Mike Hoskings after a train smash interview with police minister no 6 Ginny Anderson thebfd.co.nz/2023/05/27/can-ginny-anderson-get-back-on-track/excerpt from Hoskings In our wider family alone in the last year, we have dealt with several break-ins, several threats (death and otherwise) via social media, an assault in the city centre and a home invasion. Not one of these has been attended to in anywhere close to what you would once have expected … not from the police, and because the police didn’t always do what they once might have, not by the judicial process either. From our experience, to get: a) the police at your place at pace; b) an interest that will lead to an investigation; c) an arrest; d) charges that lead somewhere; and e) an actual sentence which might involve an element of deterrence, you’d be better off at the TAB putting $50 grand on Moana Pacifica to win the Super Rugby. The simple truth is people are scared and, if they’re not scared, they are furious. This is not the New Zealand we know, or the New Zealand we like and want for our kids. Crime is rampant, the thugs are violent, the gangs are growing, the police are over-worked, the judicial system is either asleep or under instruction, and the minister is a disgrace to the office. I blame Jacinda Ardern and I’ll tell you why … she appointed Andrew Coster and Poto Williams, and it’s been downhill ever since. Being soft on crime gets you the mess we have, and no fewer than five police ministers in six years, whose sole line of defence is just world-class BS and spin.

and chippy, grant and the rest of the coalition-of-chaos are entirely onboard with this "let-crime-run-rampant" while we tear down society from within
beg, borrow, steal and murder
in the endless search for socialist nirvana, under the watchful eye of a undemocratic maori elite

Heres an example how soft we have got, from a true life experience.
45 yrs ago 3 of us decided it would be a good idea to nic 3 crates of piss from a randoms garage, then proceeeded to roll his car down the rd in the hope it would start, not that any of us new how too drive.Got caught and ended up before Judge Murry north shore district court,3 visits later and got our sentence.
If it was not for your parents attending today you would be facing 3 months boreschool, instead a fine + costs $300 each. DID we learn our lesson.Hell yes.
Today what you get?? Family conference and promise not to do it adain??

after having ignoring the results of their soft-on-crime policies and only because it's an election year... Police foot patrols up 220% in Auckland CBD as crime levels soarwww.1news.co.nz/2023/05/27/police-foot-patrols-up-220-in-auckland-cbd-as-crime-levels-soar/if the co-coalition of chaos gets the votes in october the drive to a lower prison population will continue and if that means increasing crime? so be it ideology trumps reality for the delusional left
