have got a special bottle to open on a very special occasion at the moment jacinda leaving the country on a 1 way ticket would be it the other would be the result of 2023 election result? or feeling safe for my family and property knowing that known crims
weren't wandering around every night
knowing kelvin/poto/kiri got their backs sounds like you're bottle relies on luck inorder to be opened... I made my own luck and left... There's a lot of water to flow under the Jabcinda bridge before you're bottle gets an opener introduced to it.

Pretty ironic because in their own way gangs are very disciplined organisations. I think alot of it is about the kids looking for a sense of identity. Also the issue of being brought up in homes with no/absent father

Just point out to these little shits how small the world becomes when, because of your criminal past, you can't leave NZ... Ever!...
And instead of incarceration just change the youth justice laws to
1. Put them in stocks in the city centre and let the people feed them rapido tomatoes. 2. Name a shame them and thier parents with a page in the newspaper 3.then get them to work for the dole by cleaning the streets.
Prison is easy. A year of 1 2.3 and boom 💥 humility, humbleness, and respect are re installed.

Noting it was the Police Prosecutor that did not push for a prison sentence. The Appeal Judge slammed the prosecution on that in yesterday's judgement.

ok
the upper levels of the police aren't doing their job then
sad
Angela Parlane, managing director of Shine Lawyers which represents sexual assault survivors, told Morning Report it had been a failure at the Crown solicitor level to submit that home detention was appropriate at the sentencing in July.

In her decision to decline the appeal application, Justice Fitzgerald said the sentencing judge didn't follow the usual process and the sentencing exercise lacked transparency, "which in turn undermines public confidence in the administration of justice".
Griffiths says a lack of information from the courts makes it hard for reporters to explain to the public what happens in court.
"Three months on now, the information that we have on how that original sentence was reached is still not known."
Wilson explains that judges formulate their sentences according to the Sentencing Act, which tells them to take into account nine different purposes of sentencing, many of which can be difficult to reconcile with one another, such as both holding the offender accountable for their actions and focusing on their reintegration to society.
"So if you prioritise one of the considerations, he ends up in prison. If you prioritise another, he ends up on home detention.
"So it can be very difficult for the judge to figure out which purposes apply in a given situation."

not a crime of violence no penalties worth mentioning under labour so why not? www.newshub.co.nz/home/new-zealand/2022/10/investigation-launched-after-workers-allegedly-steal-copper-from-auckland-s-mount-eden-city-rail-link-project.htmlthe people MOST concerned about the gov. response to crime are of course the criminals and if the police are seen to be directed away from crimes of theft they increase ranganui walker said Theft is a form of income redistribution. The rich have it, the poor haven't so they take it.and the 1 thing we know about labour is that they are ALL about income redistribution be that ECQ, insurance, kiwisaver etc etc etc those who spend less than they earn will be taxed in some form or other to support those that spend more than they earn the whole personal development aspect, developed since adam was a boy, of living within your means is gone under WOKE every little narcissistic little brat being born in the western world today seem to be being told "you be YOU
and let everyone else pay the bill"

under their watch.......... ..i mean neglectwww.1news.co.nz/2022/10/27/family-horrified-sons-one-punch-killer-convicted-again/"He was in prison for a very short time and its difficult to expect that rehabilitation is 100% successful for 100% of prisoners," he said. But Tyrone Palmer is not an outlier. While overall numbers have slightly dropped since 2020, more than half of those who leave prison are sentenced again within two years.
......
isn't the easy answer to keep them in longer then, get them to successfully complete rehabilitation before they rock off to kill again? the public would certainly be safer you remember the public?
the people the politicians and bureaucrats pretend they work(sic) for
