The CC scam is unravelling just as fast as the covid scam did. It seems the harder they push a scam, the more people dig a bit deeper. You don't have to dig far to find something stinks.. “In these days of apparent ‘climate crisis,’ you would think that maintaining actual temperature reporting stations would be a top priority—but they instead manufacture data for hundreds of non-existent stations. This is a bizarre way of monitoring a climate claimed to be an existential threat,” he said. “For various reasons, NOAA feels the need to alter this data instead of fixing equipment problems they think exist,” Mr. Shewchuk said. “Fixing temperature reporting stations is not rocket science. If we can go up to space to fix the Hubble telescope, we can surely come down to earth to fix a few thermometers.” principia-scientific.com/hidden-behind-climate-policies-data-from-nonexistent-temperature-stations/

Worth taking the time to watch (https://www.climatethemovie.net/) . Still on Youtube for now, as one commenter says "if it has a Youtube warning it must be right over the target" Remember even the biased IPCC reports acknowledge that mankind's contribution to annual CO2 generation is just 3%, 97% is naturally generated. None of the climate catastrophists ever mention a "safe level" of CO2! Maybe Luxon should follow his own advice and read the full IPCC report. He should also answer why NZ government and local government is using the most extreme, highly unlikely per IPCC, climate model for decision making which is strangling the country. An interesting easy watch and well worth it to get a condensation of what the side we're not allowed to know much about say.
Haven't seen much having a crack at it but will go for a suss. I tend to find the style and quality of the counter attacks can indicate how accurate the target probably is.

Hmmm...a preliminary suss shows only skepticalscience.org (com?) says the movie is dodgy. But then Skepticalscience is to the CC debate what the Pope is to Catholics so hardly an unbiased commentator.
On very fast sussing of a couple of points the movie raises, skepticalsciense says the movie is very wrong and puts up commentary/graphs to support that yet what the movie claims is supported by the IPCC so one does have to wonder about the accuracy, or lack of, of skepticalscience.

Unfortunately Luxon is quite happy to continue to waste our money on the CC scam, to contries where the money will just disappear A response attributed to Leo Malloy Dear oh dear !!! Why don’t you just stop all importation of dirty low bitumen coal from Indonesia then ?, you know the coal that powers Huntly Power station, that supplies 8% of the national grid, so you can charge your IPhones and EVs here in Auckland, whilst simultaneously causing 50% of all NZ electricity production emissions.

I believe all NZ govt offshore 'aid' and the like have the condition attached that the aid money must be spent with NZ businesses. This is the case with Pacific Island projects where the funding is administered by MFaT, meaning NZ businesses are heavily involved in delivering the projects. As far as I can tell, this is fairly normal for 'aid' money around the world. China funded some water mains in Rarotonga, and Chinese labour installed it. It was a complete disaster and couldn't pass pressure testing, let alone commissioning. My previous company was heavily involved in the re-design and sorting it out. Additionally, I have a feeling that this $41mil isn't a donation as such, but counts as a credit against NZ's total carbon footprint. So while it is dressed up as a donation, it is actually channelling funding to NZ businesses AND counts towards our total carbon reduction targets. Confused much? Smoke, mirrors and climate change economics.

Nah, they will decide big ships too hard, even if they cause the most problems, and go for the small ones.

Doesn't really fit the narrative. At least te mehdia parti will be all over it. www.agriland.co.uk/farming-news/research-confirms-environmental-benefits-of-grazing-ruminants/This research indicates that grazing ruminant animals on land benefits the environment and improves carbon cycling. According to the alliance, the results confirm that carbon-neutral, and even net-positive, beef production is possible at Buck Island Ranch, a 10,500ac ranch in Lake Placid, Florida, and that same potential likely extends to environments around the world. To showcase the work taking place at the Buck Island Ranch, the Archbold-Alltech Alliance has released a six-part video series that explores the cattle grazing carbon cycle, the role of carbon sequestration in mitigating climate change, and other insights. Dr. Mark Lyons, president and CEO of Alltech said: “This research alliance brings together scientists from several disciplines to collaborate on climate-change solutions and demonstrate agriculture’s great potential to positively shape the future of our planet. “These exciting findings at Archbold’s Buck Island Ranch prove that we capture more carbon when cows are grazing the land. That is profoundly powerful.” Dr. Betsey Boughton, director of agroecology at Archbold added: “Every year, we sequester 1,201t of CO2 equivalent [CO2e] at Archbold’s Buck Island Ranch and all of this work is scalable to other parts of the world. “The narrative people have heard is that cows are bad for the environment, but grazing animals can actually change the function of grasslands. “Cows are eating the grass and not allowing as much decomposition to happen on the ground. Without cows, we actually see more carbon emitted.“We’re trying to let people know that it is not just this black and white answer. It is complicated, and we need to think about the whole story,” she added.

The NZ First MP accused Opposition parties of a "faint green vision" to "keep the lights on with unicorn kisses". "Today, industry sees the long-term consequences of the shallow, emerald, mannikin thinking that's driven energy policy for the last five or six years," Jones said. "Today industry throughout New Zealand is confronted by the fact as a consequence of that juvenile, woke-riddled, foolish belief that we don't need our natural resources, that we don't need our natural gas, that we don't need coal - has been laid bare." Figures released by the Gas Industry Company show production reduced by 12.5 percent during 2023 and by 27.8 percent in the first three months of this year - beyond what was projected. The figures are concerning for those who rely on gas - such as schools, hospitals, universities, food and chemical processors and electricity generators. Genesis announces they need to stockpile 350,000 tonnes of dirty Indo coal ontop of the 500,000 tonnes they already have, cause the gas is running out, fast - down 27.8% in 3 months this year... Thanks Chloe, for banning gas extraction. www.newshub.co.nz/home/politics/2024/05/shane-jones-slams-woke-riddled-left-amid-energy-debate-chl-e-swarbrick-fires-back.html

posted in BFD Backchat tonite Means that we are paying the price for the past 6 years of meddling with our gas and oil security. Things get ‘tight’ when the available generation is very close to the expected demand. If you do a search for ‘Wits free to air’ you can see what the grid is doing right now. www2.electricityinfo.co.nz/ At 18;30 tonight (dinner time) prices hit $3000/MW ($3/kw) for the half hour, meaning that the grid operators are sweating and everything is running flat out. For this to happen so early in the year is concerning, best stock up on some candles.
