Hmmm...I was having a moment and finished wondering if I was sane or a whackjob and just had yet to realise so I took a sanity test. i went to see what Martyn Bradbury and his cult were up to over on The Daily Blog. 30 seconds later my sanity was totaly confirmed.
There is some nutter who reckons Seymour is planning on hanging Maori from lamposts and he seems quite popular even if some think he's a tad wacky...only a tad, he's full wacky as he also reckons the Nats are about to change labour laws so staff get no breaks or holidays and we employers can work them 18 hours a day. He's full wackjob but sadly pretty average over there by the looks. If you want to see the definition of interweb hate speech in action just watch what happens when some one mentions the Govt or a party of, trigger central and they lose their shit in the most abusive sick and often totally delusional way. First impression was 'that's funny' but not long after that was replaced with realising just how much our mental health system has to cope with, it's really not good especially when some of those people do think they are sound of mind.
Anyway Iran into a line Martyn likes to push,he has a few and is constantly bang on and on about them. Some include Labour lost the election because Jacinda saved 20,000 lives and that pissed everyone off, yeah I know don't ask as I agree that makes no logical sense. Every one of the Nats are really Chinese communists. Act want to rewrite the treaty and totally cancel Maori when they do. He's got a few and most are very funny as his supporting arguments tend to be ridden with political theories rather than much solid.
One I do like is his constant hammering of rural and how 1 cow put out the same amount of piss as 16 humans. Hence cows are fucking the planet. But lets have a wee suss of that, something Martyn will not allow on TDB judging by how little is allowed to play with his narrative.
Take Auckland, a countries biggest city, by world standards small and very widely spread out so very low population density in comparison with most. Aucklands total land area, which is mostly rural, has a population density of 3.1 humans per hectare. If we exclude rural and only look at Urban that density is 25 people per hectare. By world standards that's not high, Tokyo for example has over 300.
Anyway we run 1.5 beef per hectare, I'm told high density is 4 maybe 5.
1.5 cows x 16 people = 24 people. So our farm pisses the same amount as a urban hectare.
But according to the last Govts calculator, the one that over estimates methane by shed loads, we will sequester around 115t nett carbon this calendar year. One of the worst emissions products is concrete, diesel is not far behind. Those 24 per hectare in urban live in concrete installed and maintained by diesel.
Anyone get where I'm going with this whatever the fucks morphed into?

Harry, I would be interested in where you get that information. All I can find is a shift to accrual for annual leave, which is pretty much what most businesses do anyway and prorating sick leave i.e. work 50% of week as part time role, get 5 sick days per annum rather than 10.
I see some dickhead unionist said that it is not fair as sickness does not discriminate on whether you work part time or not. True, but the probability of needing a sick day is equivalent if the allocation is proportional to how many days you work. It is actually "unfair" at the moment as full time worker get proportionally less sick days. Media cant get that so just report the Union. I guess they are journalists not math grads. Just like Jacinda was a communications grad, not a smart person.

It all comes down to people wanting to get paid for not going to work, some think they're entitled to it, others quite happy to be responsible for their own situation. There is quite a spectrum of reasons, where you draw the line is the politics of it all. It's the only reason socialism is a viable political movement. F0oW9SjXoAAhivd.jfif (74.54 KB)

ha, I used to read his site pretty much every day for years. But since the election I haven't bothered. The guy is unhinged imo and needs help. Yet amazingly, the sun still comes up, and last I checked, the sky hasn't fallen in, although you wouldn't believe it if you went no further in life than TDB.

It is quite funny. I go there every now and then to check the lunacy. So the ferry, ETS auction, pylons, are all the current govts fault...... Fast track is the end of democracy as we know it, anyone remember COVID, parliment protests etc? Chinese are in National pocket, yet Clark etc love the Chinese. I think they are just pissed that as the defacto commie party of NZ (sorry that is probably the Greens) that they are not seeing enough $$$ from the commie Chinese.

I have 20 sick days now 18 but how do you use them?I feel guilty ringing in sick. Yes it was John Key who suggested to do away with breaks or not set at times as unions want.2 hrs 10 minute break or 4.5hrs 30 minute unpaid.
Under the transport act I need 2 x 30minute breaks in a 14hr period but easy too bullshit, put break in while unloading etc

and some more real science on the climate scam
Climate policy or Another Agenda John Christy, the Distinguished Professor of Atmospheric Science and Director of the Earth System Science Centre at The University of Alabama, is widely recognised as an authority on what is happening climate-wise.
He shows with great clarity, in the graph below, why our government departments, regional and district councils plus some pressure groups who continue to use RCP 8.5 as a basis for policy-making are dishonest, deceptive and disillusioned.
This extremism is not based in science or logic. It is evidence of another agenda.

Google tells me they are Brahman but these had a ring around neck (rolls of fur) Lot bigger in real life. View AttachmentThere was a talk about changes to how breaks were taken but never ever was there any talk of stopping them, that is all in the heads of the too dumb to think for themselves. The unions wanted 10:00 to 10:15 with no exceptions or variation sort of thing where the Nats said 'Breaks are a must but they can be at flexible times which suit the workplace best'. It was about 'flexibility' not removal. Anyway, you sure that's a Brahman, the ears look too small and alert. All the Brahmans I saw, Nicaragua they are everywhere, were very long legged and had big very floppy ears. Mind you none were Bulls which tend to live longer and chunk up big time. My Herefords were cute then went all leggy to the point I was thinking "Fuck, are they just big red setters?' but have recently started to fill out and look very beefie. Brahmans are hot weather beasts, pop over the ditch and you'll see shed loads of them. Nice graph CZ, one of far too many showing the same thing.

A fire at a lithium battery plant in South Korea has killed at least 16 people and left five others missing. South Korean authorities said on Monday that they had recovered 16 bodies from the factory in Hwaseong, 45km (28 miles) south of Seoul, after earlier confirming that at least nine workers had died in the blaze and three others were injured. The fire broke out at the plant operated by South Korean battery maker Aricell at about 10:30am (01:30 GMT), before being brought under control shortly after 3pm (06:00 GMT), authorities said. Firefighter Kim Jin-young earlier in the day told local media that more than 100 workers were believed to have been working at the site at the time of the fire and that some two dozen were unaccounted for. Kim said the fire started when a number of battery cells exploded inside a warehouse. www.aljazeera.com/economy/2024/6/24/battery-plant-fire-in-south-korea-kills-at-least-16-leaves-5-missing

more on NZ Farmers and emissions www.nzcpr.com/the-farcical-and-bizarre/
some extracts Imagine arguing over the difference between 4 millionths of one degree of warmth and 5 millionths. Something that can’t be measured even with sophisticated technical equipment. Pretty stupid? But now imagine if the outcome of that argument adversely affected 25% of all our dairy production and a big chunk of our meat and wool sector. Get the argument wrong and it cripples farming and devastates the economy.
Professor Dave Frame, our leading climate scientist, IPCC contributor and adviser to successive governments has stated that New Zealand farmers are responsible for, at the most, warming from their livestock from 1850 to 2000 of 0.0014°C with projected future warming of 0.0004°C between 2000 and 2100. That amounts to four millionths of a degree/year – an inconsequential, immeasurable and utterly irrelevant contribution.
Dr Kevin Trenberth, a leading IPCC scientist said, “This is NOT scientifically sound. It appears to assume that the methane emissions from dairy and meat count, but they do not because they come from carbon dioxide that was already in the atmosphere and was taken up by grass in photosynthesis. Any methane decays on a decade timescale back to carbon dioxide. It is circular. Methane is so short-lived it equilibrates and no extra warming results provided numbers of stock don’t change.” Our stock numbers are stable and our methane emissions are declining.
