"The worker claimed Tana approached him at his new employer's premises in March 2023 threatening defamation action against him if he persisted in an employment complaint against her husband’s bike business.
In the report Burt describes how Tana offered three different explanations of what she knew about a grievance raised by former worker Santiago latour Palma, who has raised an Employment Relations Authority claim alleging he is owed around $25,000 in wages.
Burt examined four cases, which include Charles 'Chuck' Simpson and Nick Scott, who've already won ERA rulings against the business, and Palma and the other worker, whose cases are ongoing.
In the case of Simpson, Burt found him “credible…and consistent” while Tana’s credibility was “significantly compromised” and Hoff-Nielsen gave answers that were “were plainly wrong or not corroborated ... I found him unreliable”.www.stuff.co.nz/politics/350338427/cops-called-angry-clash-between-migrant-worker-and-former-green-mp-reportchloe and marama still locked by their 'ideology' from doing the right thing so the nz taxpayer
has to keep carrying the grifters
they keep hoisted upon us due to their pitiful 'quality control'

you hang around long enough
you start to reap what you have sown
the greens invited her into their party and for all the wrong reasons
gave her a high listing
now they have to sort it out their bad processes and choices
the person who'd replace her, seems no better qualified to be gov.
their inability to admit these hard truths and fix them with the tools available
shows how far, far, far
this bunch of 'emote now, think later', student-activists
are from prime-time

What I find fascinating is how the Greens support is so stable. It doesn't matter what calamity they have, their support is stable.
It is like they have some crazy immunity card to politic ineptitude and incompetence.
I reckon the majority of their supporters don't actually follow politics and don't understand what is going on. Because they are disinterested, they vote for the name. The Greens. Because they are so disinterested, they thing it is nice to vote for the environment, not having a shitshow of realising the Greens have zero to do with the environment.
The other sector of Greens voters must also be the one legged, wahine maori, transgender, multi pro-nouned, refugee who is also an academic types. The Greens are so woke those real randoms in our society will flock to them and never vote for anyone else.
I reckon Greens supporters are so thick the Greens could launch a policy for Nuclear power in NZ and their supporters wouldn't actually notice.

Sounds like she's going to hang around like a bad smell. The current govt must be more than a little happy about that. newsroom.co.nz/2024/07/15/darleen-tana-has-no-plans-to-resign-from-parliament/Speaking to 1 News on Monday, Tana said: “The easiest thing may well be to step away. But either way, that’s a decision that requires quite some consideration.” When asked what mandate she had to remain in Parliament, the list MP said: “It’s not so much about mandate, as about the kaupapa.”🙄I guess when you have your snout deep in the trough you use whatever justification required to keep it there.

Kaupapa means principles and ideas which act as a base or foundation for action. A kaupapa is a set of values, principles and plans which people have agreed on as a foundation for their actions.
She has none of the above!

She says the report found no migrant exploitation. I'm not sure the report was looking for any?
4 workers have made formal complaints about their employment by her husband and her
2 of the complaints have been upheld and bikes and beyond ordered to pay....afaik they haven't....
The other 2 complaints are apparently still being processed.....but with the commissioner saying she and her husband are evasive and keep changing their stories.....it does look there was migrant exploitation...even if they keep denying it

The other 2 complaints are apparently still being processed.....but with the commissioner saying she and her husband are evasive and keep changing their stories.....it does look there was migrant exploitation...even if they keep denying it More on the investigator's report opens Radio NZ reports: Burt said the investigation took longer than anticipated due to a broadened scope, the late arrival of extensive evidence from a complainant and the “lengthy and often unclear” evidence from Tana and her husband Christian Hoff-Nielsen. “The owner of the business did not provide a coherent or consistent verbal account and his evidence both oral and documentary tended to obfuscate rather than elucidate,” Burt wrote of Hoff-Nielsen. “The respondent’s evidence shifted over the investigation with different explanations as to why that was so, requiring significant cross referencing to earlier accounts and documentation to come to findings,” Burt wrote of Tana. DPF This is a polite lawyerly way of saying they lied.
