This thread - including it’s title - is an ugly low-point in the history of this forum. But it will stand as-is, with no editing, as an important statement of record of the discussion and the behaviour of those involved. Which includes some fiery & unsavoury exchanges… later followed by more contrition. Outside observers who are shocked by the title but who read the content will quickly see that it is not representative of the majority mood. This thread is an outlier - but even outliers have an important role to play in a world which is too frequently censored into the more comfortable & ‘correct’ language of today’s intolerant social discourse. For this reason it will remain. Having been busy as doing work and rural shit I haven't been in for a while. I just popped in and the first thing that registered was the word that most females find very offensive, I do exclude Green Party leaders who wants hers back. I do wonder how she has a pee but I both suspect and I hope no one explains it to me.
So I thought 'Who is this dipshit using offensive words like that?' I go in to the thread to see the the writer of the subject thread is calling out others for using offensive words. As that seems to be the standard today I thought 'Just another hypocrite' and as the next few posts made little sense (I have not seen the thread or knew of the thread that kicked this one off, bar the link to Mr Fishes wise and well expressed post, was about to bail when I thought 'This could be a test for the Mod, I wonder which why he went with it?' so I skimmed on.
My conclusions -
The thread initiator is no better than the poster he/she/it/they/blaa/blaa/blaa is trying to call out. But that is very very common and it's not like the first time he/she/it/they/blaa/blaa/blaa has gone full hypocrite. It's real easy to do and sadly very common.
The post that got the initiator excited is just not good. I get the gist of it and it is a very widely held gist but dude, you just can't say that in the manner you did these days.
I think the Administrators post as to why the thread is still is shows signs of maturity and though processes not often seen on forums these days. I fully support the Admins decision and why.
My hopes going forward -
People stop saying 'going forward'...and the next one who hands me food and says 'enjoy' is likely to get a punch in the face. Make it properly and I will enjoy it, fuck it up and no matter what you say I will not.
The thread initiator and the poster he/she/it/they/blaa/blaa/blaa aimed the thread at BOTH consider how they write things, you both did bad so can you both get your shit tidied up please. The Admin stays on the same path. And of course World Peace
