The second seal lurking around Akl that everyone said didn't exist but does now doesn't any more, it was found dead in Westhaven.
Guts full of fish hooks.
Some reckon it's Owha but this one is smaller so probably the male. Why they didn't say it was here I don't know but it was very clear some seasons ago there were 2 differing animals in town.

That is interesting. And sad.
Interesting in that I'm following that Owha page on FB and I've not heard a pep that a Leopard Seal died. They normally make as many pointless posts as possible.
Sad that a sea creature dies of man-made issues like fish hooks. Probably nicking everyone's bait.
