Correlation is not causation.
The data would need to be age and other issue stratified.
It then needs to be effectively checked against an alternative population. In this case unvaccinated of same stratification.
There are awesome examples on the internet of highly correlated variables. Like how much cheese is eaten and the number of drownings in some place.

This article says more by what it doesn't say than what it does. High Court found Police acted unlawfully over covid mandates. Police have 'settled' grievances, but wont say what that cost. It would appear they have had to make payouts... The police have settled personal grievance claims over how dozens of staff were treated over refusing to get the Covid-19 vaccine. The claims were lodged in May 2022 on behalf of [https://www.rnz.co.nz/news/national/473962/covid-19-vaccine-sequel-dozens-of-police-staff-take-personal-grievance-case 91 staff] after the High Court ruled a vaccine mandate for police was unlawful. It would have restricted the roles unvaccinated staff could carry out. Employees complained about how long it took for them to return to work, their roles, their treatment by other staff and the police's new vaccination policy. In August, police tweaked the policy to say vaccination was not "expected", but was "encouraged". The police now say that 41 individual grievances have been settled via confidential settlement, while others were withdrawn or not pursued. The police withheld any information about what it has cost them. This paper is being retracted at the request of the authors. The authors report that there was an incorrect interpretation of the odds ratio meaning that instead of HPV vaccination potentially being protective, there may be an associated increased risk of preterm delivery. The authors believe that an increased risk of preterm delivery is unlikely and not consistent with the evidence to date. Further, the authors have not been able to access the original source data as per protocol to check the data validity. The authors wish to repeat the study to reassure themselves that there were no data processing or other errors in the databases in order to reach definitive conclusions. Lastly, it is of serious concern to the Editor-in-Chief that the Conflict of Interest statement was only added to the paper by the authors after acceptance and was not made visible to the editor or reviewers prior to acceptance. The authors state that there was no input to the methodology, implementation and results of this study by any commercial entity. I actually find this post offensive. I have a long term vaccine injury. So does my father. My vaccine injury has been assessed by a myriad of medical professionals including two occupational physicians and has been accepted by my income protection insurer. For some twat to try and turn around and say I'm imagining it, and everyone else I know is imagining being fucked up by the vaccine is deeply offensive. I understand The Lord of the Avian isn't trying to be offensive. He is just ignorant. Hopefully Winstone's inquiry will put into the ignorant public's domain just how much damage was done by that experiment and associated mass hysteria. |

But then in the statement above the term 'science' being deliberately used in a very vague catch all manner more as a marketing tool than a word that defines a field of endeavour. To make that statement more about actual sciences it should be written thus - "unassailable truths upheld by some* in science".
* - some being used to define 'not all' and could be replaced by many, lots, a few, no one in, every bastard and many more, assuming the writer wanted to be factually correct rather than just sell their opinion.
