The WWW is not what the inventor, nor anyone wanted or were promised..
The WWw is dominated by Android/Google, Apple and it's advertisers plus phone companies who all profit from it's existence and all have overbearing control and demands of it and the people who use it.
Every page you open now has less and less " information" and more and more invasive and unstoppable adds that consume your data.
Then there is the amount of space left to put your finger on the the screen and move the page up and down!!!
It's getting really stupid!!! And its far from free considering how much more data you are needing every day to maintain apps/updates, search , or do anything!
It's about time data prices come down and adds were eliminated. But how?. ..
Dump Google, install VPN, go to another search engine? or ...
Demand a free www?
I'm getting so sick of the adds, which I 100% ignore, popping up in increasingly devious and hard to remove ways!!! And where do the phone companies get off charging for data?... They should charge google for letting them use their phone lines!
Rant over

Adblock plus and Facebook Container (blocks the FB trackers that infest the web) both running on Firefox. Supplemented by CC Cleaner set up to flush everything whenever I close Firefox or Thunderbird NordVPN when deemed necessary.

I have a android shitty piece of utter crap samsung shitter of a bullshit piece of crap phone.
On that I have some software I can go full secret squirrel with, not that I ever have, the Brave browser. Along side that is another part of the 'package' called Blokada, which blocks sites and domains known to be arses in spying, adverts and tracking like spammers, phishing, big chucks of google analytics, multiple facebook things, just having a quick suss and 99 instances of a microsoft data susser, going off on doubleclick.net a massive advert server, twitter which I don't have or use, iris.tv 35 times (these are just in the last 24hrs), fullscreen.nz whoever that is and a shed load, a very big shed load more. Most are obviously ad related and many data gatherers but there is also others which aren't so clear as to what they maybe. Basically if you're on the list the programme will not let them into my phone.
Late last week 1/3rd of my daily skim sites suddenly all went to 'Site can't not be reached'.
Those sites include - Kiwiblog The Daily Blog The Platform The Standard Basically all that went bad were opinion sites that tend to be heavily politically based. In a timing spectacular 'another sailing based nz forum' was up as I'd been alerted to a possibly trashing of a premium local manufacturer we help get going so I thought I'd suss what the banjo players were saying (amounted to nothing much) but it also refreshed to 'site can not be reached'. Not to sure what to make of that being in with the others, it is noticeably different.
Yet all the MSM still worked fine.
I sussed to see if I'd changed anything, unlikely as every time I do it turns to pooh so I just don't. Had me buggered so I put it down to maybe they all share the same server or something which is having a oppsy.
A few days later still the same, that can't be right. On pondering I thought 'give it a go, why not' so I turned off Blokada. Bingo, just like that all the sites were suddenly working again.
How spooky it that possums?
