If you won't vote and let the politicians know which direction you want the centre to move Your desires will be unknown and so ignored Ranting and raving here will them know a little but if you don't care enough to vote they won't care enough to change You honestly believe by voting they your interest at heart?? The only people to benefit from electing a party is Business big or small and benefiters Us the battler who pay the majority of taxes dont even get a look in.. What is any party going to do that I may benifit from?? Dont rely on them ,help your self first.

NZ pollitics is in dire straits. Bald headed penis has said nothing of any substance Hippy has nothing to offer the party is stuffed as the rats leave. Cosmetic puppet might be the only hope but what his other Mps done?? Dont vote Dont encourage the bastards. Yes I wont be able to moan about them but at least I can say I didnt vote for them. The Country is kind of like a yacht club. If you don't like the leadership or direction, join the committee, communicate what you want and where it should go. Instead of note voting, join a political party. Tell them what you want, and what direction you want the country to go in. I've seriously considered joining ACT and telling them exactly what I want. Pollies can't work in a vacuum. Mates are green members, and have been for ages. They hate the co-governance BS and pine tree / ETS thing. So they tell the party that. Get rid of the shit you don't like, keep the stuff you do. If you don't, the more motivated will, and they are the loonies, woke and vocal minority. Pollies can't work in a vacuum, so if you don't speak up, they can't really do anything but listen to the woke...

If you vote you really cant bitch about the Government afterwards. You voted and in doing so said "I do want politicians telling me what to do. I prefer we have this one and/or this group please"
So by bleating afterwards all your realy doing is the same as a 5 year old who got stuck with the lime ice block not the lemonade one they really wanted.
That whole 'no vote = no voice' line is pushed by pollies as they are the only beneficiary of it. They have to get us voting or they have zero ligitmacy or huge pay packets.

Party representatives need to be canvassing by door knocking. Asking what I like or dislike. Having a meeting in some hall doesnt work for me. Have attend one meeting and No you cant ask or I wont answer it. Side step questions or if they get in to power.A million reasons why it cant be done. Crime is the biggy with no penalties for me but Nats/Act keep saying zero tolerance but have no solution on how implement it. Boot camp was moved by Nats, next minute some wanky jurno bleats on about rights, fuck me .I have rights to be protected from such thugs just the law says I cant shoot them. I could stand as a independant and agree with everything the party I align myself with. Why?? Do I give a fuck?No because I a 3 yr job security on a decent whack. And that how I view all pollies, nose in trough, who gives a fuck about the voter. Look after our mates.

listening to him on the radio now
absolute talkfest
nothing ruled-in, nothing ruled-out
can't explain co-governance, doesn't think anyone can, but admits gov. needs to do more to explain co-gov. to public.......which will be tricky as no one understands it???
jacinda inherited andy's labour polices and secret agenda largely unchanged
jacinda then brought in a ton more, like the RNZ/TVNZ merger
sounds like chippy will junk delay a couple of jacinda's more contentious...... programs until after the election
doubt this rearranging of the deck chairs on the SS labour will be enough to repair the huge hole in public-trust ripped by 6 years of labour bait'n'switch
we were promised 10,000? houses
but instead labour delivered a crippled democracy with the majority of nz'ers being reduced to 2nd class citizens

Cam Slater on Hipkins thebfd.co.nz/2023/01/23/out-wit-out-play-out-last/couple of excerpts And so New Zealand has a new Prime Minister and Deputy Prime Minister. Chris Hipkins and Carmel Sepuloni are the latest to lead the Red Tribe, albeit temporarily. They have six months to turn things around before the election campaign starts in earnest. There is no time to do anything legislative, short of axing unpopular and ineffective reforms that are costing them dearly. But reverse ferreting on Three Waters will be just as costly as forging ahead with it. The health reforms will prove over winter to be an unmitigated disaster. The polytechnic reforms, overseen by Chris Hipkins himself, are also an unmitigated disaster.By choosing Chris Hipkins, a man trained in the nasty by Trevor Mallard himself, Labour has signalled the end of kindness and the return of the Nasty Party. He can’t help himself. When he isn’t smearing three innocent women who travelled North with permission, or attacking Charlotte Bellis and enforcing Ardern’s draconian Covid policies, he’s sucking up to unions and pushing a hard-left agenda. The election campaign is going to be awesome with Hipkins in charge of Labour. It’ll be bloody, nasty and vicious: it’s all he knows. I’m going to love it.and from Michael Bassett www.bassettbrashandhide.com/post/michael-bassett-chris-hipkinsHowever, closer examination of Hipkins’ record doesn’t provide much cause for optimism. In my day in Parliament, Labour MPs had read whatever had been written about the party’s history. We endlessly discussed the reasons why our predecessors had taken the actions they had. What had worked, and what didn’t? Why had some long-standing Labour policies not stood the test of time, while others had?
None of that political curiosity seems to have motivated Chris Hipkins, or his colleagues in this ministry. Coming into Parliament in 2008 as a 30-year-old, his maiden speech revealed a huge level of ignorance about the crisis faced by the Fourth Labour Government, and he seemed little moved by the considerable skills shown by Helen Clark’s Fifth Labour ministry which he’d seen at closer quarters.

from bassett above
Trade and employment policies based on centralised social engineering down here in the South Seas behind tight rules and regulations are bound to fail.
Unless Hipkins quickly grasps this fundamental reality, economic progress under him will be very slow. It’s because of centralization and over regulation that we have so many skills shortages under this government and can’t find enough people for our health and educational services. Our globalized economy limits New Zealand’s economic options, but provides exciting opportunities for those who are prepared to get an education and to explore them.
The new government needs to help, not hinder.

Hippy can do a lot of damage in the next 6 months maybe worst than Ardern?
Problem we have with NZ today. There is no member that looks like a prime minister. "Peters" was probably the last of actual mp with prime minister material on looks.

Time for some policy changes ...
I don't know why you are listening to business leaders again!
Just do what they asked 5,4,3,2 years ago!
Me thinks Hipkins is a "ginger Stalinda"
