recently waka whatever, have apparently spent more on road studies than they do on road construction and repairs and like any gov. monopoly they seem to have left far behind the concept they are "public servants" from them and in my inbox this morning "The validity period for prepaid toll trip passes sold after 31 March 2023 is being reduced from two years to three months."meanwhile in akkers"Auckland Transport defends asking travellers to avoid using public transport during peak times"www.newshub.co.nz/home/new-zealand/2023/02/auckland-transport-defends-asking-travellers-to-avoid-using-public-transport-during-peak-times.htmlauthoritarian gov. always hate a population that is free to move around wherever they wantthe people must be controlled!

"Auckland Transport defends asking travellers to avoid using public transport during peak times" brings back memories of when I lived in Perth, and after a massive marketing campaign by Western Power encouraging people to install reverse cycle airconditioners, on hot days they would ask people not to turn them on !

I thought Wayne was going to sort all of this out. Fix Auckland wasn't it? Wonder how he's getting on? Must be a daily repeat of the "Yes, Minister" series on the 13th floor...

I've just been told the new Motorway north will be open for Easter. Certainly looks ready to go bar a few odds n sods.
Sort of looking forward to it but then I find the motorway from town to it a little boring now. I do quite like the 'passing lane' game on the current bit of SH1 it'll replace.
