I’ve been sponsoring these guys for a few years and although they are not quite back home in the UK yet, they’ve crossed their outbound track and released this 30min documentary to celebrate. Their normal channel content is high quality but this is Netflix-worthy. Their modest style of quiet achievement is what got me hooked on them a while ago. Well worth a watch: youtu.be/PKDagUd6eoI

I will have to check that out on a rainy day. Another good channel is wind hippie sailing. A very down to earth and very capable young woman sailing (mostly) solo around the world in a humble and low tech 27 footer. www.cruisingworld.com/story/people/maiden-voyage/youtube.com/watch?v=99MwT_r0u7s&feature=sharesI was actually lucky enough to have lunch with her and her mum yesterday. Her Mum and Dad are also small boat sailing legends having circumnavigated in a Cal 25 and having 3 kids on the way. They then refitted a 33ft steel boat and sailed around the arctic for 5 years. There is a documentary on them called "Ice blink" and they have written a book called "into the light". Apparently I will be getting a book and a dvd in the mail soon 🙂

Brilliant. I much prefer these smaller, low budget cruisers. Way more interesting and creative in their approach than the big budget brigade.
The Sailing Frenchman has now been sailing around the Caribbean (including into anchorage & marinas) with no engine for about 100 days now!
