i struggle to see how 5volts at 1 amp could kill in a bath too
and when 1 try to imagine the situation i can't work out why the wall socket was right above the bath
perhaps we have a little poor reporting?
those charger cables are pretty short, <1mtr?, too short to reach from a bathroom wall socket 2 mtrs from the bath
so maybe an extension cord was used to bring the 5v charger to the edge of the bath
then you've got the heavy charger on the heavy plug balancing on the soapy wet edge of the bath?
a simple movement of the phone tugs the charger and the extension cord into the bath
meaning the full wall voltage of 220v? as a 20?amp pulse, earths out through the bathwater and the person in the bath before the fuse blew/breaker popped
presumably an older house, enamel bath, copper pipes?, no safety RCD? residual current detector? at the fuse board
so it's not the 'phone charger' output voltage that killed, but the full household power
people often don't fully think these things through
