Mate if you can afford it French polynesia is the dogs bollocks . I spent two winters up there working in the Tuamotus but also spent a bit of time in Papeete based at marina Taiina . Papeete has plenty of good medical options , flights to most major countries , no lack of food and goods and services etc .

Not sure I'd go as far as say I'm lovin NZ, especially at the moment, but I am staying.
The world seems to be turning to pooh all over the show and I have long term military people all saying the chances of some biffo between the US and China is growing very large. So be it general pooh or worse some war crap then NZ will be a place removed to a large degree from the crazy all that will generate.
