Ever since that airbus over aussie had its computer decide "ferk this straight n level - lets see how this baby dives " twice in 5 minutes from memory , with half the passengers bouncing of the roof I decided I would prefer to fly in a boeing (maybe not too close to a door though )

over central ak about 10am we got
5 harvards in a v..........at about 110kn....max speed 200kn
a corsair chasing a spitfire........about 150kn....max speed 400kn
a ww1 bristol fighter biplane, german albatross and what looked like to be a vietnam cessna bird dog......60kn.....max speed 115kn

not really a light aircraft, and sadly no survivors either www.youtube.com/watch?v=ozinSmylTmQ sounds like ice then a flat spin... could you try full power on one engine to try and stop the spin? |

not really a light aircraft, and sadly no survivors either www.youtube.com/watch?v=ozinSmylTmQ sounds like ice then a flat spin... could you try full power on one engine to try and stop the spin? ATR's 42 and 72 don't like bad weather or icing Standard procedure for a spin is stick middle and forward, full rudder in the direction opposite to spin . No power Not going to work in an iced up ATR at that altitude though |
