Ouch but as they say any landing you walk away from is a good one.
I've lined up the northern motorway once or twice during engine out practice. It's better than our runway, bar those bloody cars, so if push came to shove I'd use it. Hopefully I'll never have too.

VA is in the book for a reason....... Dumping and hauling back often ends in tears. Just watch a few of the water bomber videos. VA decreases as load decreases

Looks like some type of ag wagon - they are well used to big G's. be interesting to know how many he was pulling when that wing folded...

Watched it a couple more times - looked like his initial stick was quite abrupt but surely only a couple of G's and that tired old wing said enough. is maintenance a thing in mexico? or not?

Yeap having a closer look in slowmo the initial pull up was pretty intense so there would have been a big spike in G's, a bit too big as it panned out.

What the f is with these gender reveal parties, stupidest bloody thing I have ever heard of. Equally how come they dont get shutdown by the alphabet soup club? Cant go and gender the baby, it has not had a chance to choose.

That's why when D2 went 'reveal' shit I said leave me out as I like to wait until Dec the 25th to find out what my presents are, not on Oct 3rd.
It's not like you can say 'Oh, I wanted one of the other ones, can I have a credit please?'.

Thats why in our day we baby showers.

on bigger aircraft it seems the rivalry between Boeing and Airbus supporters is a bit like the old Holden vs Ford mentality
my brother used to fix the big planes, said 747's were built like a truck (same does not apply to 737 MAX) and used to talk about "Scarybuses"

we used to say that american planes were built by geniuses
to be worked on by morons
but british planes were designed by morons
to be worked on by geniuses
not sure of the applicability to airbus
but back in the day, big boeings were beautifully simple, truck/tractors with plenty of space inside for relatively simple systems and easy maintenance
fly-by-wire and carbon fibre may have changed all that
of course
in respect of the 737max
any bolted together assembly
needs to have left the factory correctly bolted
even poorly bolted is usually survivable
but just unbolted is unbelievable
