How many had a early morning swim at mansion house bay,never got crook. That’s not a good reason to continue emptying out there on the sly before holding tanks were thought of,if govt etc were serious they would be compulsory. Popular bays would have an inspector board and drop a dye in tank.

Good point HT , they got serious about people shitting on the side of the famous tracks in the South Island and most of them you have to go with a guide now . I could see a whole can of worms with having inspectors , unless it was privatised like the track guides and you paid to get into a bay .
