Stuffed said Peter's hadn't spoken to media since the final election results on Friday. Hmm, no, he spoke to The Platform & Shaun Plunket, just not you, you losers. I see Peter's is also going after the Theraputic Products Bill. Anyone would think he's found a nice new niche demographic, shunning MSM and supporting people that like natural therapy products. Mwhahaha

apparently winston wants; a knighthood, treasury, foreign minister and to sit on the cross-benches.... so basically; the biggest bauble of power, the country's purse-strings, the job with best; travel, accomodation, meals, respect and for all that, he also doesn't want to be involved in the heavy lifting of running the country, but just to sit on the sidelines chiming in with advice for the ref and threatening his nuclear option what a tosser!and what does sitting on the cross benches actually mean? no one really knows and winston won't explain ie, it'll mean whatever he wants it to mean, he'll torpedo anything he feels like......... .and a lot of things he has no problem with, if it turns out a vocal minority start arcing up esp. if, while being the rudest man in politics, he doesn't get the respect he craves getting a very bad feeling that winston's narcissism is only going to get worse as the pressure to do his job increases he hasn't changed, as at every election he has tried to be the tipping-mass for every government
"When asked last night (before 2014) election what "sitting on the cross benches" entailed, he said everyone knew and he had never fielded a question on the subject from the audiences at his many public meetings.
He did confirm it does not mean voting confidence and supply and holding ministerial portfolios in a governing arrangement - the stance Peters took in 2005.
But it would be useful for everyone to know a little bit more than that.www.nzherald.co.nz/nz/john-armstrong-what-does-sitting-on-cross-benches-actually-mean/IGHTJJNL7WBDT55F4SHYJEOCNQ/

winstone's greed and sloth may mean chippy has to be sworn in as pm According to New Zealand's Electoral Act, a person ceases to be an MP at the "close of polling day" - meaning the end of election day. The Constitution Act states that when a minister ceases to be a MP, that person can continue to hold the ministerial office "until the expiration of the 28th day after the day on which that person ceases to be a member of Parliament". That means 28 days after the end of election day. "Should there be a delay in the return of the writ beyond Friday 10 November, and if the new Government has not yet been appointed, the PM and [National leader Christopher Luxon] are able to advise the Governor-General to reappoint the incumbent administration on Saturday 11 November to operate in caretaker mode until the new Government is sworn in. www.newshub.co.nz/home/politics/2023/11/chris-hipkins-may-be-sworn-in-again-as-prime-minister-due-to-technicality-in-law.html

So the election results came out on Friday, and your blaming Winston for not having a coalition Govt formed by the following Tuesday?
Go back and look at how long it took Labour to form Govts, we got weeks to go before its anything new.

if winstone had been working for the good of the country
and not on how to make his 6%? worth 33%
he would have been working on possible coalition agreements the day after the election
instead, knowing that the clock is ticking, he refused to communicate with seymour
while telling the media, he was fully justified in ignoring people who hadn't shown him sufficient respect
heaven help people treat him as he treats others
again
what a prat
