As there are a gazillion old skiffs and other assorted and often one off's in garages there should be some awesome mixed dingy fleets happening aorund the traps.
Who knows of any a pair of young lads can take their newly acquired 14ft Skiff too? It's a fully fired up screamer but the class didn't make it so she's looking for a fleet to jump into.

I'm sorry I only know of plastic one designs. The neighbour's boy is doing very well on the sailing front. Consistent top finisher in various classes starting from the Open Bic. Got into win g-foiling and has been training in a borrowed 29'er. He got 3rd or 5th in his first go in the IQfoil (Win d-foiling) nationals last month. Borrowed gear again. I saw the borrowed board and foil on the neighbours roof-rack and complemented them on the near $10k worth of gear, and that things must be getting serious with said boy. They said that was cheap, that the IQfoil gear is cheap. It is at least twice as much as non-one design top end wind-foiling gear. Anyway, they were talking in comparison to 29'er or 49'er gear. I think that is somewhere between $20k and $50k. It is just not possible for kids to go fast and afford that shit. They've got a very promising young man who is competitive and just wants to go fast. Exactly how you fund the gear for a proper race programme is beyond them and me. So yeah, the old plywood shitter skiffs are very good value for money. There is an article in Boating NZ about Moose Sanderson getting an old Cherub during lockdown and now competitively races with his young teen son. Appears to have inadvertently started a bit of a revival of the Cherub class. You might be able to google or Facebook search where they are doing that, sounds like a likely fit (maybe, I've no idea how long a Cherub is compared to a 14ft skiff, I'm picking the Cherub is a fraction of the size and speed).
