Battery powered planes...
No thanks.
Batteries are OK but they need to have hydrogen generators as well.

Another waste. 150km flights. wtf!
Hope they can glide!

Electric is the future. Electric motors are significantly more efficient. They have less moving parts, last longer, need less maintenance and are butt loads cheaper.
But safe energy storage is needed before it goes mainstream. It's good that companies are ironing out the bugs with electric planes and trucks but until clean, weight efficient, safe storage appears it will never replace oil.
Once someone figures out how to safely store clean energy in the same space as its oil equivalent, all these experiments will go main stream.

Electric gear is fine, the problem is storage. Crack that and you'll make Bill Gates look poor.
Also in aviation there is weight. That will be why battery aircraft have such short range.... and I trimmed down the equivalent of 28lts of 100LL after getting back from central America. Better to be in fuel in the wings than around the waste.

In the US the biggest issues with motor car reliability is EVs, they have the biggest reliability issues of all types of cars.Google it

Don't confuse automotive grade reliability and performance with aircraft grade reliability and performance. That would be like comparing apples to pork chops.
Would you trust your car motor to do 2000hrs while sitting just below redline? Hell no, but I do my aircrafts.

And did you know that the biggest reliability issue with fuel cars is the exact same problem. The electronics and computer systems packed in to modern day cars is the major cause of all issues. Electric cars rely on these components more. There's nothing wrong with the motors in either technology, it's the bits around the edges that let them down.

Correct, but EVs are more prone Smdue to the sole reliance on batteries and Thier management systems, plus the electronics to run the electronic motors.
