I just bought a Seaflo bilge pump from Marine Deals... 1100gph The problem with my previous pump was it burned itself out cause it turned on and off at the same level of water. So it sat in a puddle and literally was switching on and off every time a wave changed the level of the float This one turns on at 60cm and off at 40cm. Hoping that this is a better solution....

It'll never do 1100gph and I can't work out why these mobs suggest they do, except for the fact their marketing depts have no compulsion lieing.
That 40-60cm range looks like the fix to your niggle.
Let us know how it pans out.

Had the same issue with mast base pump ….it had a removable float switch with enough wire to move it 100mm higher which solved the constant pumping out of back flow every 5 mins or so .
The boat came with a seaflo water pump as a spare but havent used it so can’t give you a review .

I’ve got a Johnson 1250 GPH but my understanding that’s the max flow rate with no head. Assuming it’s a bilge pump and say you want the outlet ~1m above waterline then that amount of head will dramatically reduce the flow. Not many of them seem to include a flow rate at a specified head.
