Yeap thought the same. It was very solid to look at but it burnt off very fast, it wasn't the usual.
And as a FYI, I do have the become a legal grower paperwork. Haven't filled it out though |

Yesterday was a shocker and todays looking similar. Only 31 degrees but then add zero breeze and nasty humidity and it's just fecking nasty. Way worse then the late 30 degree days we had 2-3 weeks ago. Just started digging the stream and drains. The smelly black ozz coming out has got to be the bestest ever grass food  What was 300mm deep is now closer to 1500mm and 10 times wider. Imay have to suss a white water raft for the next rain storm |

Can confirm the northly kicked as they said it would,hasnt gone NW yet.Played in the shallows where we havent fished for over 15yrs and must say its changed.NIL,except for 1 odd snapper Mrs C caught.Breakfast sunday??

to be fair, none of the models picked it up and the last 48hrs have seen very unstable and changeable conditions. Yep, been rather blustery here in the BoI too |

They’re 10kts under again this morning. Forecast 15kts actual 25kts.
I’m doubtful about this whole El Niño thing and very doubtful about their ability to confidently predict anything anymore!

At 0730 this am it was 20-25kt forecast ,actual may have been 5 if I exaggerate a little.

Yet again. No excuse. Shut down NIWA and MetService and save shitloads. Let NZ people & media outlets get their weather from the numerous other global sources now available. Metservice & NIWA have not proven they are ANY more accurate just because they are based locally. Seriously - both NZ weather services should be ‘NewsHub’d’.   |
