Todays Metservice for the harbour was OK bar being 2 hours out.Phewww...... Got the race motor on so a decent Seagull fart can push the boat backwards a boat length.
Good rain in rural thankfully. Started to get real heavy down in the Valley at 3:30 odd. Not biblical but trying to be.

Biblical levels of rain at GH this afternoon. And just when I was thinking of ordering a water tanker… 😊 Metservice says Army Bay has 25 mls of rain so far today. That is over about 3 hours, starting at 2:45 when the primary school let out, with sideways firehose type rain. And the number of times I've ordered a water cart, for there to be such a long wait list that by the time I get it, we are standing in the rain while pumping water into my tank.

either too much wind or not enough! We were in Helena bay last night, Taiwawe, very sheltered. Plan was to head south once the wind eased up noting Toot's had a peak of 32 kts this morning. Motored over to Mimiwhangata this morning in a very lumpy sea to wait for wind to ease off, as it has done so but now too much. Cleared the islands off Mimiwhanagata about 1430 and made sail in 12-14 kts. Now a bit south of Whananaki and down to about 9 kts E. Going to be a late night to Kawau and will probably have to motor the last few hours
