www.bbc.com/news/technology-67749228X is about to discover it has a legal obligation to protect its users from misinformation and conspiracy theorists... Free forums could next... Lol It sounds like market forces could sort X out before any legal ladeda obligations. To protect users from misinformation, you first need to work out what is the truth, and we know a lot of what comes out of official channels is not. Advertisers are ditching them in droves. I think Musk stood up at some conference and called all his advertisers 'cunts' for ditching him. Not really the sort of client experience (CX) that is going to win friends and influence people. and in my view, the market forces are as close as you can get to natural justice with a thing like X. I don't understand what Musk is trying to do - but then again, if I did understand him, I'd probably be a lot more wealthy than I am. It looks like he is trying to out telegram telegram. To the un-initiated, it looks like he has taken a world leading social media platform and made it into a festering cesspit to rival some of the darkest filthiest corners on the internet.

X being investigated because they allow free speech reclaimthenet.org/eu-bureaucrats-formally-investigate-x-over-lack-of-disinformation-censorshipexcerpt Currently, the European Commission is spearheading a stringent investigation into X’s operations, marking an unprecedented move under the parameters outlined by the DSA. Of the several concerns raised by the executive branch, they will chiefly be probing its potential breach of EU norms regarding risk management, data access, dark patterns, lack of content censorship, and transparency in advertising.Of particular interest to the EU is the spread of alleged “disinformation.” Tackling it is part of the EU’s efforts to control global online speech, by equating “disinformation” with “harm.”The issue of politicians regulating so-called “disinformation” online raises significant concerns regarding free speech and the centralization of power over public discourse. This controversy stems from the inherent subjectivity in defining disinformation, as much of what was once called “disinformation” and censored online turned out to be true. When political figures or governmental bodies assume the role of arbiters in this domain, it risks establishing a precedent where speech is policed based on prevailing political ideologies or interests.

I reckon Elon is try to save humanity. He is up against some very entrenched opposition. Being the richest person on the planet, and the highest tax payer ever, helps. MSM "news" is usually on twitter 3 - 5 days before it reaches duckies world. Takes that long to get approval for the narrative. He is seriously disrupting some well established industries, they do not like the competition and are doing anything they can to stop him. Elon seems to get his way He didn't call them cunts, that's misinformation duckie, he told them to "go fuck yourselves" , the video is awesome.

For the record, that was me that said he called them cunts, not the Lord of the Avians. Thanks for the correction. I do think "go fuck yourselves" when addressing your clients is basically the same as calling them cunts though. Wonder if the EU is investigating Telegram then? or is this just a case of double standards?

Yep exactly why they are going after him. Problem is that when they start censoring people, especially someone like Musk, it puts a great big spotlight on their agenda. Which is a somewhat self defeating policy as any thinking person should now see that the pendulum has started to swing back from the lofty heights on the left and is smacking a few woketards right between the eyes on its way back down. The only way to keep pushing the "thought police" wokism crap longer term will be to go full millitant. Personally if I was a mentally deranged woketard I would start going quiet about now.
