I'm getting info and offerings around 'High Temperature Gel Batteries'.
Apparently some new nano shit inside which gives them a service life of nudging 20 years at 25 degrees C and I'd assume looked after. Can operate well at 50 degrees with minimal loses.
According to the guff many gel batteries are quite temperate sensitive and that has a lot of input into their life span. Now they have sussed that and added some nanos that issue has been negated.
I've even been offered some 100ah for $136 and 200 for $280 plus border costs so add say a conservative 15%. That's not too shabby. I think I paid 5 hungy each for my 200 Gels. These have the same problem mine do, the hundy is 35kg and the 2 hundy 58kg. But that is noticeably lighter then the 70kg my 2 hundys are (according to the paperwork), I wonder if that is the nano shit or something else?
If this is more than marketing crap it's quite impressive considering at the moment most say Gel life spans are more 2-8 years, the odd ones longer.

Are you talking for rural or boat? If boat, not sure why you'd want a heater in the form of a battery. If rural, why would weight be an issue?
There are so many new battery techs and options it makes my head spin.

Where ever you like I suppose. They are supposed to be far more heat resistant than normal which then leads to a longer life span. Weight in rural is not an issue but in you had your banks in a boats engine room then maybe the higher temp is shortening their life span. The guff I got suggests that is possible. Hell yes, it seems each week some new battery tech pops up, it's nearly as bad as iPhones
