I think the big franchise owners (New World, Pak n Save, Gilllmores etc) represent the majority of new orders for Riivitimos in NZ.

I've always found T7 to be small ranged, not that sharply priced and not that knowledgable, a bit too supermarket like in a field where many want expertise.

Countdown/Woollies/Bunnings people are salaried managers, just getting a wage. It is the likes of PaknSave and Mitre 10 franchisees who make the real money. Mr ex PnS I know has a very nice custom Upfold launch, bit more class than your average Rivitimo. T7 seemed to me to be trying to sell Warehouse quality goods at Rebel Sport prices...

T7 gave me such astoundingly shit service I vowed never to go back. By the looks of the sale price, I am not the only one to make that vow.
Ordered stuff online that was showing as available and indicated delivery in a reasonable time, something like a week. 3 months later no sign of delivery. Cancelled online order and went and got it instore (actually, far more likely I got it from somewhere else). Oh, and while I was waiting for delivery constantly kept sending me marketing emails prompting me to buy stuff they couldn't / wouldn't deliver. I now see on online items they do indicate delivery can take 4 to 6 weeks (for stuff that is available instore).
Speaking to independent operators, T7 treat their staff like feaces, and undercut all the independent operators but with inferior products

It’s another failed Warehouse venture.
They’ve proven that they can only do the big shed brand stuff “stack em high & sell em cheap”.
Any departure from that ends in tears.
