The obvious answer is yes but.......
I've finally found out how to get podcasts, or I have on one platform, those things are tricky. In the limited list was Joe Rogan, who comes across quite sane and considered, nothing like the raving right wing trump buddy many paint him as. Anyway he had on a dude called Bart Sibrel who reckons No man has not walked on the moon, it's all just a conspiracy.
I thought 'Oh here we go, nutter time' as did Joe and his side kick.
The pod went on as Bart said things Joe and Co went big on the 'Steelman' angle, we call it play the Devils Advocate, but Bart kept coming back with generally sound sounding responses to the attempted shooting down of Barts theory. He has spent a LOT of time looking into this so he has a LOT of info on hand. He's also a filmmaker and due to that his interest was sparked by some of the videos of the landings. He said some significant inconsistencies in them, lighting angles, time delays and so on.
The pod went on an hour longer than usual as they tried to shoot Bart down. Some bits Bart nailed them but there was a few that could be interoperated either way sort of thing. But overall Bart put up one hell of a good show and by the end I, as was also Joe and sidekick, thinking 'Hmmm....and fuck, some of that does seem quite sound. Fark, could he be right?'.
Last week I would have answered hell yes, today I'm not sure I still have that full confidence.
One good question Bart asked Joe and Co, 'How many people actually saw the Apollo crew standing on the surface of the moon?'.
Two other comments he referenced, both made by people who should know were one by a dude 25 odd years back (I'd need to check to get more accurate) was 'We are still trying to workout how to get human thru the van Allen radiation belt alive'. Another was more recent by a dude called Elon who when asked why doesn't he put a team on the moon, he also responded they have issues with radiation exposure and he would have to lift 8-9 loads of fuel into space to have enough to get a ship to the moon and back. That was interesting and Bart raised the question "So we are told we have put men on the moon using 1960's technology, a cellph today has 1,000,000 times more computing power than any Apollo had, but can't do it using 2020's technology, does that make sense?"
A couple of the vids Joe and Co started out as being real but then Bart showed inconsistencies in them. By the end Joe and Co were very reluctant to totaly write off the idea all the videos were possibly staged. It appears pod casts have video which I couldn't see.
There was lots about all the differing angles and Bart did a very good job and explaining his take on them well, some shockingly well but one or 2 maybe not quite so much.
I have not gone deeper yet but will when I get a moment as Bart made some big claims and if they are right Holy Fuck!!!!!!
His website, I have yet to suss - www.sibrel.com/
