A very nice boat, a classic in top shelf condition, is being offered for free. Only caveats are the 'purchaser' pays for shifting the boat, and has the skills and resources to maintain her in the manner she is accustomed to... Via Whangateua Traditional Boating Club on FB. FREE BOAT! Janet is being offered for free to the right person/people. What's the catch...well the lifting, transport to wherever, and relaunch costs will be up to the new owners. Still, it will be a cheap boat that is in great order. The photos attached are from January this year. We would like the boat to go to someone with the skills/resources to maintain Janet in the condition she has become accustomed to.😀 Contact me via modwyer@nghs.school.nz or message me through Facebook for more info. Cheers, Mike. No idea if the link works, but: www.facebook.com/groups/3123222267962989?hoisted_section_header_type=recently_seen&multi_permalinks=4081344398817433

PS, she was built in 1902 and I think is based in Napier, hence the comment on relocation / transport cost.
What is that Ancient Chinese curse? "May you own more than one boat"?

Another free boat, but this one comes via the FB group "Just sitting their rotting"... Appears to be an old carvel planked hull, nothing else of value in any of the picks. No mast, staunchions, engine is a rusty lump. 4x2 knocked up to make a companionway ladder. At least the guy is trying to be honest and offload the boat rather than leaving it to bust off the mooring in the next big blow. "The vessel is named Claire de lune and is located at swing moor #47 evens bay wellington sadly can not carry on working on her and am now giving Claire de lune away if anyone is interested in having Claire de lune send me a dm" www.facebook.com/groups/459489185082355/?hoisted_section_header_type=recently_seen&multi_permalinks=1177550683276198

Update on the nice classic in Napier:
I can confirm that Janet will be heading to her new home on the North Shore and will be in very capable hands. Thank you all for your comments and interest. Cheers, Mike. I cannot expose the identities of the new owners as doing so will reveal their identities to their better halves... which may result in some unsavoury actions.😏
PS, GO30, your town pad is on the North Shore isn't it? Do you have another boat?

The Wa finding out was a noted concern of the chap furiously sussing
