I stand to be corrected but we were anchored beside them over xmas (he actually drove over to my boat in his dink and towed it away from hitting a friends boat when wind swung and mates stern anchor buggered up they way I was hanging next to him). Anyway, it's a very early Farr he said, cool looking boat. Don't know much more than that though, he seemed to keep very much to himself, had a young nipper on board if it's the same boat.

Interesting, I have no doubt that is what he told you, but being a Farr owner and fanatic from my knowledge this Teuila does not tick the Farr box and there is nothing like her type listed in the Farr catalogue. Will be interesting to have a chat with the owner next time I encounter her

It is reminiscent of the Farr/hood mini super yachts built buy southern wind in South Africa . I will try and find a pic I had a girlfriend that crewed on one .

Thanks for posting that , I will copy that outboard system on my next race boat if it ever happens . Had a similar system on a previous boat but its was very clunky and leaked .

I think you are thinking of Kailua. 42 feet. My family used to own it. Is currently in mint condition. Was biggest boat Farr had build at the time, launched 1975, I think Did hobart, Melb-Futoka and a whole pile of other long races. Was a dream to sail, I just never liked the leaking forward hatches right above my berth Pretty sure he has it on a mooring over by the sugar factory
