Another sick war crime . Over 1000 children have been taken away for” adoption “ to Russia many of them from the steel works in Mariupol after the surrender .

On the one hand it would be good to see this sorted with the ruskies crippled but on the other hand no-one wants to look north and see the sky glowing crimson... i think a good attempt at diplomacy and compromise needs to be made before we go down the path of escalation. we live in difficult times ...

Man the Russian state media are fuckin nut jobs . It’s a bit chilling that they are actively engaging with Fox News which is pro trump . There’s a theory that Putin is waiting on the midterm elections coming up soon . If the republicans win a majority they are most likely to force a stop to funding Ukraine and supply of weapons .

The Russians are extremely upset that UKR attacked and damaged some of its ships . They have called it an “act of terrorism” and have blockaded the Black Sea grain exports again.
This drone didn’t quite make it but several did before dawn . It seems like there were some kamikaze airborne drones too . Love the bit where the guy dives off the toy launch in panic

in early ww2 the british + ozzie troops retreated from smaller but fiercer japanese forces down the malay peninsular to "fortress singapore" singapore got most of it's water from malaysia so when the japanese turned off the water valves fortress singapore surrendered without a shot being fired crimea now could suffer the same fate Ukrainian control of the Dnipro around Kherson reverses one of Putin’s few victories in Ukraine: ensuring fresh water for the residents of Crimea.Ukraine had retaliated against Russia’s seizure of the region in 2014 by building a dam to barricade the North Crimean Canal, which supplied Crimea with around 85% of its water.Russian forces destroyed the dam two days after its invasion on February 24. But Ukraine now has the option to threaten the water supply to Crimea once more, and in the longer term, to control it. That’s both significant now, and a powerful card at the negotiating table in any future attempt to settle the conflict.www.stuff.co.nz/world/europe/300736294/why-vladimir-putins-retreat-from-kherson-could-be-his-most-humiliating-defeat-yet

In what would be a reversal, the Biden administration is poised to approve sending M1 Abrams tanks to Ukraine, US officials said Tuesday (local time), as international reluctance to send tanks to the battlefront against the Russians begins to erode.A decision to send a bit more than 30 tanks could be announced as soon as Wednesday, though it could take months for the tanks to be delivered.
www.1news.co.nz/2023/01/25/us-reversal-expected-on-sending-abrams-tanks-to-ukraine/the abrams have gas turbine engines, like jets, and drink a ton of jet fuel even at idle the yanks will be pissed if these, us$8 million each, tanks get busted open by russian artillery because they ran out of fuel or the crew couldn't fix them quick enough to keep them moving they'd be better to replace 1 for 1 leopard2s for abrams..........get all the diesel leopard2s in europe into ukraine, and shift nato to abrams

Russia spending so much time and energy on Ukraine, starting to wonder what is Russia really up too??
Bit like Muldoon inviting Nuclear subs to NZ taking the peoples mind off other issues.

usa to send 31 abrams
so germany will now send 15 leopard2s and allow others to send leopard2s
norway and poland already on board
uk already sending some of their older challenger2s, now likely to send more
all these 100? tanks are superior to anything the russians have
but just as vulnerable to artillery + mines....however if well supported by well equipped infantry for a punch through the front, could easily cut russia's land corridor to crimea
hope this doesn't trigger belarus joining the war

Can we send Stalinda... She could spin the war into a " love and kindness fest"...
After all we're investing in a huge security team to protect her from herself!
