Terras, citing the intelligence report, said the Russian military has enough rockets only for three or four days, and with the new sanctions imposed will not be able to replace their depleted weapons. "There are not enough weapons," the intel report said in two different spots.
"If Ukraine manages to hold the Russians off for 10 days, then the Russians will have to enter negotiations," Terras wrote, noting that the war is costing 20 billion rubles ($350 million) a day. "Because they have no money, weapons, or resources."
According to Terras, Putin was holed up in his "lair in the Urals", and brought Russian oligarchs with him so they couldn't flee the country. ...
"Progress to Kyiv has been much slower than they'd expected, they were unable to take key cities early and now must try to bypass them.
"This leaves pockets of well-armed and well-trained Ukrainians to the rear of the Russian front line, exposing a vulnerable logistics tail - an omen for what awaits Putin."
www.nzherald.co.nz/world/russia-invades-ukraine-furious-russian-president-reportedly-holed-up-in-mountain-lair/NZT7M77YGRNSF544R2PTDPDL6Q/ Whilst I’d like to believe this analysis the only trouble is that this assumes Putin takes a rational approach to seizing Ukraine relatively intact. It doesn’t mention the less rational nuclear option. And furthermore. I’ve not seen any commentary on what the rest of the world would do if Putin did indeed drop a couple of nukes to beat Ukraine into submission - would they continue to stand and watch with only economic sanctions against Russia? It doesn’t bear thinking about . What would china do while attention is trained on Russia , what about India and Pakistan ? Maybe one of them would think it’s ok to nuke the other while everyone is busy elsewhere ? Imagine the world wide radiation issues if nuclear missiles were intercepted at altitude . We would be fucked , I wonder if there’s some very clever people trying to work out how to blow putins Ural hidey hole to bits before he can respond , I highly doubt it’s possible though .

i doubt the nuke-rattling is for ukraine, but for nato, to stop them providing the air-umbrella over ukraine that the president has asked for
i'd say putin hoped for a soft take-over as the soviets did to hungary in 1956?..........he doesn't want to overly antagonise his ukrainian cousins or unnecessarily destroy his 'prize'
but yes, 30? years of unchallenged rule has corrupted him badly and he has ignored his own generals to launch this war but certainly has enough generals for a purge if he wants and to then scorch ukraine in a fit of pique
i hope the russian people see what's coming and i hope the ukrainians can make this another afghanistan for the russian army
putin's next move it to probably try and besiege and starve kyiv into submission
hopefully all the man portable anti-armour missiles coming from europe arrive and find the armoured personal carriers sitting at cross-roads around the cities
and the same for anti-aircraft

'merica sho is looking like a serialised version of that movie dumb & dumber. How gullible can the thousands of people who attend these events be. I believe that Trump would have done something dodgy in the background to advantage himself whatever the outcome.

Solution to this...
Stop all Russian citizens from entering every country in the world except china and Belarus
Sent home all Russians citizens and close all Russian owned businesses out side of Russia ...
Then wait for the Russian billionaires to target Putin until he has Ben eliminated 💥➡️💀.
The rich Russians will hate thier freedom being taken away

Fire one missile into the big square in the middle of Moscow. Fill it with plague.
Send the second one into the UN HQ, it's also a total waste of oxygen.

it's like the iranians who left with the shar, being persecuted for the actions of muslim iran.....worse than pointless
the russians i know here largely left because they saw a better future out of putin's russia
getting tough with them just because they happen to be 'here' is counter-productive
if nz can't bring itself to support the american position, it should support the european
currently that's sending munitions that could change the outcome
but as we only have 5 munitions, and can't afford the postage, we should send the russian ambassador home
and then let the wellington protesters use their showers

If NZ doesn't stand up now it's only going to get worse for us because sooner or later NZ will be forced to step up.. How can we expect help if/when our turn comes? It's another reason we have Armed Services to make it look like we're trying to help ourselves. That bimbo running us (into the ground) doesn't understand basic human nature. A bland smile, platitudes (be kind) and sending Mahuta to read the riot act reeks of Chamberlain,in fact could make him look strong. Minimum is we send weapons. Don't kick the ambassador out. He's got the line into Moscow that we won't have

GOOD hope xi is watching Corporate giants also took action, with British oil major BP BP, the biggest foreign investor in Russia, saying it would abandon its stake in state oil company Rosneft (ROSN.MM) at a cost of up to US$25 billion.
The European Union on Sunday decided for the first time in its history to supply weapons to a country at war, pledging arms including fighter jets to Ukraine.
Germany, which had already frozen a planned undersea gas pipeline from Russia, said it would increase defence spending massively, casting off decades of reluctance to match its economic power with military clout.
EU chief executive Ursula von der Leyen expressed support for Ukraine's membership in an interview with Euronews, saying "they are one of us."
The EU shut all Russian planes out of its airspace, as did Canada, forcing Russian airline Aeroflot to cancel all flights to European destinations until further notice. The United States and France urged their citizens to consider leaving Russia immediately.

This Pootin attack of Ukraine is a " Commeth the moment Commeth the Man" opportunity for a world leader to stand up and show true leadership.
This is one moment where a leader can have the stage and be a hero!
This is Arderns " time to shine", this is what she was born for, and her moment to make the difference.
This is the true test of leadership, and where history is made.
This is a great opportunity for her spin team to write the speech of their lives...
But I guess if you can't front a couple of hundred protesters wanting a simple mandate stopped... then saving millions of Ukrainians is a dream to far!
Where,/who is the person that could influence Pootin?...
Biden - nope Xi chi ding ping - maybe The Pope - nope. Prince Harry - Megan says yip! Novax jockitch - maybe naah
Let's face it! We don't have a influential great world leader.

Well you just put yourself into perspective didn't you? And you wonder why we have a social cohesion racial divide in New Zealand? To reiterate, from my previous post on social cohesion, the change starts with you OLD ROPE 👀 , the Government can't fix this, it's your responsibility. Fixing social cohesion is a bottom up process.
