Just heard Spongebob Squarepants police commissioner on his 'victory' over the protestors highlighting how proud he was of his force. Noticed he was MIA just like his puppetmaster the bimbo. The victory was actually to the anti mandate protestors in the melee which included thugs on both sides. He highlighted the pitchfork (which I didn't see ) for example but not the thug cop I saw eye gouging.. A pox on this Govt.for the hypocrisy of government by lying on every soothing assurance they give which is almost everything they do.Government by fear, division,lying and cheating is NOT what was promised.....but you all know what that was ? When Ardern says - "We will not be defined by this." She means - " I will not be defined by this" The Fact that she has to plead this moot point tells me she/ her spin team feel the public think we will be defined by this |

In the latter part of the 81 Springbok tour the protestors were looking for a fight with the police, in this occasion it was the police looking for a fight fromone of many Kiwiblog comments this morning I have been watching from afar (I am in Thailand) the protestors in Wellington and I never thought I would see the day in NZ where the police would act so violently.
First, the vilification of this group is unprecedented – “Rivers of filth” for a group that is asking for the mandates to be lifted. The Court has already said the Police and NZ Defence mandates are not “demonstrably justified in a free and democratic society” so it is good precedent for other mandates also considered illegal. Second, the protestors want the mandates to end 1 March – the PM says a little later. Are any of these people really evil when the disagreement is over a few weeks?
I watched a live stream this morning of riot police coming to a peaceful protest to clear it out. They used pepper spray when protestors were “holding the line” and it was the police that were pushing not the other way around. The Police were there to end this protest and planned to use violence.
I have seen other videos of police beating protestors who are on the ground. There is one video where it appears another police officer tells the one assaulting a protestor that he is been filmed so better stop it.
I prefer non-violence response even to violent aggression in our civil society. But I think this was always going to happen when the PM and other of our so called “leaders” wouldn’t even talk to people who have lost jobs and had their lives turned upside down.
Let’s be very careful – violence is wrong – but it was the government that made it inevitable when they refused to talk. If there is no talking what’s left?

Did the police get a "resource consent" to discharge all that polluted water into the harbour, it was only a few days ago the Wellington City Council had high levels of pollution in the harbour.

Description
After 17 years dedicated frontline service in the New Zealand Police, my employment was terminated on 8th February 2022 as I would not submit the vaccination mandate.
A successful judicial review has since found the mandate imposed was unlawful.
Today (Wednesday 2nd March 2022) I witnessed scenes at the WELLINGTON FREEDOM PROTEST via live feed.
What I saw disturbed me more than anything I have witnessed during my 17 years of service.
I am so ashamed.
This medal was awarded to me 3 years ago. It is has never been worn and no longer has any value to me, hence the $1 reserve.
Although my future is uncertain, I know my days of serving the community in this role are over. |
