When I came thru Kaiwaka last Sunday there was a good size group on end mandaters. A guess would be 50, complete with some very extensive and good signage. Saw a handful in Wellsford, possibly more but some retarded ahole was busy txting behind the wheel so I was concentrating more on not being murdered. There was also a few signs on SH12.
It's NZ wide, not just the urban delicates.

Sounds like a well organsied and well behaved protest. We watched the start on live stream, they had clear rules, and clear requirements for those attending (don't cause trouble) and advise to those that saw others causing trouble. I'm loving this Policing by kindness policy Coster is doing. Looks like they decided it was less disruption to allow the walk over the bridge than to try and control a large angry mob on the side of the motorway. Of course, there is the usual claims going on with numbers. The Freedom and Rights Coalition say 10's of thousands, MSM say 2,000. Really hard to tell. Was a reasonable size crowd, certainly wasn't a few hundred. And that was only Auckland. many other centres today as well.

Was a reasonable size crowd, certainly wasn't a few hundred. And that was only Auckland. many other centres today as well. I saw a video somewhere of a flyover as they were walking out of onepoto domain, someone had sent up their drone, had a very clear start and an end - now I cannot find it - definitely less than 5000, and definitely more than 2000 - I settled on 3000. Possibly a lot more arrived in the city than the ones that crossed the bridge. Freedom and Coalition are claiming 50,000 there's no way there was 50,000 on the bridge in any of the videos I have seen. So maybe these people turned up in the city afterwards. I highly doubt there was 10,000 on the bridge. This, complete Trump shit, (below), which was at the Onepoto Domain today as part of the harbour bridge blockade, I just do not get at all... I am even OK with the stupid BioWeapon statement - but the Trump 2024 flags I do not understand! The Canada flags all over the place, I can kind of get, as support for the place the movement began, but Trump just makes no sense to me. And leaves me wondering how many other splitered groups there are in the crowd. I wonder if the Ban1080 movement were out today... I didn't see there signs like I did in the Wellington occupation. I can't even understand why the freedom and rights coalition would want to be associated with these trump supporters, plastering it on there facebook page - I get the herald posting pictures of it to help discredit the protest and make them look bad - but wtf would TFRC post the pictures - it doesn't encourage me to want to join the movement...

protest is more about protest than ideologyfor most people I like the way you explained that. Explains nicely what I have been seeing in all the numerous photos of the occupation. So when the mandates get dropped we could potentially expect only a few people to go home and the crowd to gravitate towards the next cause... that's gonna piss Mallard off.

it's a vocal minority unhappy with the direction the gov. is taking the country
their numbers will only grow
the gov.'s done 1 thing right
covid
and covid's time is ending
even though the gov wants to drag it out
i can't see a lot of options for the gov.
somehow they need to reverse the drift
but they have only just begun to wreck the stuff they intend to 'save'
health, education, tourism, business, hospitality etc.
and the people and the media will have field-day over any disruptions and the failure to delivery
they bit off more than they could chew
because they thought they could just give half-thought through ideas to the civil service
and the bureaucrats could get enough quickly and smoothly that, the gov. could keep on wrecking things
to rebuild them better
well, they've got the wrecking thing done
now we just need untold millions and years for things to get rebuilt
who are the voters going to trust to do that?
the same bunch that rebuilt the country after lange and douglas tore it up
luxon just has to say soothing things about the economy and being business friendly etc and he should come in with the tide
and this whole generation of student radicals can go back to sound-bite protests while labour spend another 10 years in the wilderness
hopefully using this time to come up with actual working plans that have been costed, get put in a manifesto and put to the voters

Don't hold your breath on Luxon. Not long ago he was propounding compulsory jabs for all if I heard him right. Governments just want to be in government and most MP's don't give a rats for the people or the country. To most of them we are the great unwashed masses to be manipulated and exploited. Witness the current destruction of the middle class ,all in our best interest of course.

I believe he is playing a timing game. Now is not the time to ease up on the rope you are handing to Ardern. Putting out policy now gives Arden time to respond and re spin it. He should have met the protesters though. Not agreed with them but just listened

Looks like the troops have been busy, once again the No 8 wire spirit comes to the fore all correctly plumbed in, someone obviously knew their way around the Wellington sewer system

Not agreed with them but just listened Difficult is right, Jacinda has taken over as the big corporate darling with her hand outs and throwing coin around willy nilly. But to balance that a lot of small business that was Jacinda have swung the other way due to having no voice or any support. Luxon is Corporate so could struggle with small business. I detect Jacinda has pretty much lost the good will she had in SB. We had a board meeting last week and what was 3 red, 3 blue and 1 with better things to do at the last election is now 6 not really keen on any of them plus the 1.
All he, or any other polly NZ knows*, needed to do is walk down the stairs and chat to a few of the protesters. The optics would have been a game changer and would have likely stopped a lot of the bullshit vomited by the media, the govt, the wankers or to spell that word another way, Mallard.
* - most of the 120 are unknown useless wastes of space that suck resources that would be far better utilised elsewhere.
