Maori continue to be disadvantaged and discriminated against alongside other ethnic groups (Chinese, Korean, African, and Indian). That discrimination leads to stress, poor self esteem, impaired health and anti-social behaviours.
Race based policies are necessary to fix the systemic racism, disadvantage and discrimination that exists in our society today. When you can look around your local marina/anchorage and see an equal representation of society then you can start complaining about race policies until then get on board and be part of fixing the problem.

I have no problem with co-governance AS LONG AS IT IS the will of all NZers.
As it appears to be being rammed thru by a small and very self interested group without any input by the millions of people it will affect I have a wee problem with it on that point.
