Part of the bimbo's masterplan. Dumbing down the population in line with various agendas and UN protocol. It's working well !

"For a lot of the absence that we're seeing it's just a degree of complacency that's crept into the system over time and we need to turn that around," said Education and Police Minister Chris Hipkins. Hipkins denied he was blaming parents. "I'm saying we need parents to play their part in getting kids back into school." Doing that could be more important now than ever.Figures obtained by Newshub show the breakdown of students who've been unenrolled for more than a year by region. Of the nearly 1000 Kiwi kids not attending school for 13 months or more, 527 are in Auckland, 122 are in Waikato and 71 are in Bay of Plenty. They make up 74 percent of the total. Those are also the three regions with the highest ram raid rates.www.newshub.co.nz/home/politics/2022/11/regions-with-highest-truancy-also-regions-with-highest-ram-raid-rates.html

Did school run yesterday for my partners teenage daughter she was late getting out the door and was fretting about being late. because of the embarrassing aspect Of walking in to class not the discipline part of it which is non existent . Remember being late back in the day ? If it was your fault you got detention or rubbish duty at lunch time , if it was you folks fault they got a note or a phone call if THEY didn’t provide a note or a phone call . If you had an “unexplained “ day off school you got red lines on your arse plus detentions and whatever else AND whatever your parents heaped on you at home . Don’t get me started on workplace punctuality and attendance now Versus 30 years ago and the consequences versus the non-consequences

"Like everything, when we try and change a traditionist model, we've gone far too far the other way."
The broadcaster told AM as a result the system has become "very chid-centric" and students are no longer striving for excellence.
"There's a mediocrity and alongside that comes with, 'Oh should we actually bother going to school? Do we really need to be at school?'."
Christie said he's "shouldered the costs" of moving two of the three of his children from the secondary school they were in into one with a "slightly different cultural environment".
"Because the one they were in, I felt was mediocre and was not actually demanding of them, the standards of excellence and pride in the school and what they needed to get to achieve at the school."
He now hopes the move has "saved their secondary education", but said the change in his children's approach to learning was "huge" and happened almost "instantaneously".
"Purely by walking through the gates into a slightly different cultural environment which wasn't so child-centric and still slightly more led from the teachers perspective." www.newshub.co.nz/home/new-zealand/2022/11/fmr-broadcaster-rawdon-christie-moves-children-to-different-school-after-finding-old-school-mediocre-not-actually-demanding-of-them.html

I would think a large proportion of that number have just gone to homeschooling.

And, School isn't the best place to learn for a number of kids. Some crazy proportion of billionaires are dyslexic. They see the world in a different way, and learn to solve problems differently to everyone else. Many kids with behavioral problems are far better learning in an active / physical way, not in classrooms. Its not one size fits all. Many kids pulled out of school and got an apprenticeship, and went on to great things. My partner runs a school gardening programme. There is a special needs kid that is impossible in the classroom, but super chilled in the garden, looking for bugs, shovelling compost, feeding the worms. He is unlikely to earn a PhD in anything, but will have a rewarding and fulfilling career (possibly in horticulture), if he is allowed to follow his interests and not ringfenced in a classroom by some one size fits all MoE doctrine.
The world would be a disaster if we all had PhD's, we need some doers, and we need diversity of thought. And no, I'm not talking woken diversity of thought, just the basic recognition that people are different (not better or worse), just different, and once we understand that comes a benefit for all.

if the gov. stops business importing skilled labour, telling them to hire locally
the gov. has to ensure our education system is turning out the highly educated, skilled, motivated and work hungry people needed to make business profitable enough to be so heavily taxed
but once again labour think their job is just to tell people what to do...and then give them a long list of ways they aren't allowed to do it
it's just socialist central-planning's failure all over again
the human animal is still prone to all the bible's 7 deadly sins
and just because you don't believe in god
doesn't mean every person, every day doesn't need to struggle again their worse animal instincts
no country ever went in a healthy direction by letting huge slabs of the population wallow in; pride, greed, envy, lust, gluttony, anger, laziness

There is going to be a bunch of people super motivated to 3 jobs all at once shortly, the way the cost of living is going. Cause if they don't they will be super hungry. For food. If Robinson crashes the economy so we are all living like Indian peasants (I forget the proper name, Dalit's?) then there will be loads of motivated cheap local labour. The problem really is you. You just don't understand Fatty Robinson's genius.

Labour started the dumbing down back in 2006. I recall a meeting at the local where Students werent encouraged to exceed but the standards were to bring those up from the rear.Equal footing?

Of course its deliberate. Basic communist doctrine. Dumbing down of the masses and dependency on the State. Built in voters until these dependents get to be the majority then no need for pesky elections
