Hopefully, the labor's MPs that see their job on the line will think hard and go down fighting and vote against anything the racist group forces through, we may see some cross benches voting......I wish. I want the race element removed from everything. It not good for NZ and worse for Maori except a few wanker Maori bosses |

I don’t disagree with anything said here. I’m just facing pragmatic reality that she will be remembered far more favourably internationally than at home. And she’ll probably get a job somewhere on the world stage - no doubt receiving a glowing reference from Aunty Helen. And so I guess I’m just mentally moving on rather quickly to “what’s next and best for NZ?” rather than dwelling on the past. But I recognise that some people were more detrimentally impacted by her rule than I was. My main loss is simply a few thousand dollars a month less take home pay due to Covid-driven tax hikes. Am I bitter about that? Yes. But can I change it? Not really. Hence I’m mentally moving on. We're just having a CAP, (Cindy Abdication Party) and will formally observe a public holiday on the 6th Feb. Seriously, I went and got some special steak last night and had beer and chips to celebrate. We will worry about real life after that. In my view, she will easily go down in history as the most infamous PM in history. Same magnitude as Muldoon, but worse for various reasons. We all have zero influence over who the Labour Caucus elect to lead the country now, so no point in worrying about that. Did the exchange rate shift on the announcement? any sentiment from the markets? Jokes aside, sidelining the govt for a bit could actually be good for the markets, and the reserve bank to just do their job. |

The Maori Block and the classic centrist Labour Block. MMP sets this up fine. They could campaign seperately and work together in Parliament, depending on their mandate. The Maori Block will be too pig headed to back down on all this nonsense they have started, it is a gravy train of a lifetime for them. But it is also political suicide. The Centrist Block can see that a mile off. The Maori Block have been very vocal of their importance to Labour. To quote Willie Jackson, Ti Parti Maori went with National because they wanted a seat at the table. The Labour Maori Caucus remind Labour every day that they have a table because of them. Now the Maori caucus have become a poisoned challice. So what to do? There will be some very heavy decisions to be made in the Labour Party. This could easily be the end of them if they don't manage things strategically. The vested interests could easily screw the pooch. |

In my view, Scooter (Hipkins) is Labour's only realistic option for leader. He has the profile from the pandemic. He is also Labour's only competent Minister.
The other white Ministers are just faceless pollies. Lack profile. Mahuta has profile but for all the wrong reasons. Putting her in charge would be great for the Maori Caucus, but political suicide if you wanted to push all your traditional block over to National.
I seriously doubt Scooter can control the Maori caucus though, hence my post above about the party splitting in two. He will need some serious leverage.
If any of the Maori caucus are made PM, we know the tail is wagging the dog.
I'll bet a good bottle of whisky a Maori MP will be appointed deputy PM though.
My pick (not preference) would be Hipkins PM and the turkey baster lady (Kiri Allan) as Deputy.
Did someone say Hipkins is gay too? That would explain why Labour can't organise a root in a whore house. They are all gay. Would have no use for a whore house in the first place, let alone what to do in one. Explains a lot...
