We used to have a children's book about Adern. I think it came out during her first term. It was in the same series as stories about Ed Hilary, Peter Blake, Jean Battern and some lady in Hawkes Bay that discovered dinosaur bones there. We used to read it to our kids. Then in the second term, Adern did what she did. Then we burnt the book. True story.

You need to step outside your bubble and get out of your echo chamber - this is going to be a best seller - guaranteed. A publishing conglomerate, that last year made a net profit of $1B euros, wouldn't be spending $1M if they hadn't done their homework.

Just to find out what the fuck was going on inside her head. Remembering that I voted for her twice, and can't stand her now. What is that saying "know your enemy"... That, and I think you generally learn something by reading about successful (choke) people. I'm not saying she was successful, but she was a prime minister for a couple of years, so she had power and influence.

PS, I def wouldn't pay for the book. No way I'd do that out of principal. Either get it from the library (if Wayne hasn't closed them all) or wait until its at the Op Shop.

Actually you are the one living in a bubble and need to take a reality check. Publishers, like film makers (and many other businesses), take punts all the time, a few pay off spectacularly, most don't, there are no guarantees in life. If what you say is true, how come the likes of Disney with all their market research have had so many flops of late. I stand by my previous comment, it will quickly finish up on the discount shelves (as did that previous biography about her) if it is ever actually published. By the way, whatever happened to that "self promotion" film that was going to be made about her and Christchurch - you know the one we taxpayers were subsidising, seem to have disappeared beneath the waves never to be spoken of again.

"how to learn from history" Just because you read a book doesn't mean you agree with anything said in it. There is a lot of logic in reading that book Hilter wrote (Mien Kampf?) - not cause you think there is any merit in his views, but to understand what he actually said, and the key bit, how he got people on board. If you understand that well, you are far better placed to spot and call out the next little nazi using the same methods. And I'll bet you the next little nazi to come along is on the left side of the classic political spectrum, possibly around climate change but probably around free speech and how we all need to be regulated / controlled for the greater good. So yes, the labour green block might read it cause they thought she was a saint, and they are all indoctrinated. I'm keen to read it to learn from the history, to spot the bullshit far earlier next time, and understand what to do about it.

exactly
just like harry
lots of people who don't like her will buy the book
looking to understand the smoking sanctimonious gun
that not only failed to fire
but refuses to face reality
how much longer can she make millions
taxing others of many more millions
trying to prop up the failed dreams
that all people are good
and everyone acts for the best interests of all

Not seeing any echo chamber as she is not liked by many possibly the majority so CZ won't be that far off the mark, it'll be a marked down relatively quickly in NZ at least. I say that based on how fast books like that written by people not widely despised or despised at all have gone to the marked down bin. But at the same time she'll sell well overseas where they have little understanding of what she actually did.
I for one won't be reading it as I seriously doubt it'll be a true reflection of some of her key actions during her time as PM.
But I could also add I just don't do auto biographies of people who write them while live at a youngish age, they are just an avenue for yet more narcissism, something she does obviously revel in.
