What I can't have my toast, coffee and charge my phone and hearing aids in the morning. Even bananas don't require power to grow?

While the Govt cuts staff. Here we have ltsa/Wakakotahi wasting millions protecting good drivers from bad drivers.Busy putting in cheese cutter wire through Anthenree gorge on straight rds but not on bends where one would tend too loose control.Maybe driver practical tests should be on rural rds and see how well or not the driver can handle a vehicle.Any clown can drive on a motorway.

like double yellow lines for kilometers of straight roads
i think that's more about slowing people down by preventing over-taking
all part of the road-to-zero

like double yellow lines for kilometers of straight roads i think that's more about slowing people down by preventing over-taking all part of the road-to-zero [brm]maybe but it causes frustration so when they can overtake some do it.safe or not.Bit like me going up hwy27.Drive close to shoulder at 90 and there is no passing lanes .some just take the risk.need to like Aussie and allow heavys to do 100 but then cars are doing 110/120 no win I guess.

when double yellow lines were warning drivers of dangerous dips and corners
i never used to overtake on the bike
but now they have appeared for kilometers along various highways with no dips or corners
if i see a safe overtake opportunity, i take it
of course this frustrates the authorities
so when they get the money, they now paint 16mt wide bitumen into only 2 lanes.. put wires down the middle...and make it all 80kph
guaranteed to cause congestion, but it's no longer about 'safety' it's about 'changing behavior', even if it's poor for productivity and efficiency
and as long as i have the option, i'll vote against that
as i try to 'change the behaviour' of bureaucrats + politicians
...
conservatives are the new 'liberals'
as they offer more 'freedom'
the left that used to be liberals
but are now just closet-marxists

I wouldn't assume corruption is any worse in NZ than any other equivalent country. From personal experience it's about the same or better in NZ.

Just been up the Kuranda Scenic Railway, only took them 5 years to build it, 33 km of track, 55 bridges, 15 tunnels all hand dug, 2.3 million cubic meters of earth removed, 106 cuttings and not a red cone was used.
In the mean time the Takanaini to Drury motorway is still been built after 5 years.

Fulton Hogan have exceled themselves this morning. Karapiro Sh1 works on passing lane, there we all sat south bound while north flowed steadly home. 25 minutes later south started moving, what was the hold up you say?? it was the cone man with his bucket and rag washing the bloody cones. No actual work happening.
