Get real. It will be worse for labour as the overseas voters hated being locked out of NZ during Covid.

very glad to see Michael "Rivers of Filth" Woods consigned to the sewer where he belongs. Similarly with Mohoota the looter. The fact that Liebour could only win 17 electorate seats, and only a couple in Auckland, says it all about how out of touch they are. Unfortunately the MMP party vote system will see some of those rejects still getting in via the list.

I do think this suggestion has some merit www.kiwiblog.co.nz/2023/10/why_national_should_do_a_deal_with_winston.htmlI’d love to see a National/ACT Cabinet. But I’m not against NZ First having roles outside Cabinet. And in fact there may be some roles where having a NZ First Minister could be an opportunity. You could have Winston (or Casey Costello) as Minister of Crown/Maori Relations, who would handle the collective apoplexy of the establishment as it is made clear that public services should be based on need not race. Consider the fun you could have if Shane Jones is (for example) Minister of Energy. The Greens and Te Pāti Māori will rage against him, while National focused on the cost of living and fixing the health and education systems. If we want a three-term National-led Government, we want the three parties of the centre-right fighting the left on woke identity politics, envy taxes, soft on crime policies, wasteful spending – not fighting each other.

All the way through the genesis of 3-Waters, Mahuta was quietly weaving in co-governance and Te Mata O Te Wai statements. Now she has been sacked by her own Maori electorate and replaced with a barely literate 20 yr old puppet. I think the significance of the architect of co-governance getting sacked by her own people is substantial. I'm not surprised River of Filth got sacked. He was a looser from the get-go. Gutted that Willie Jackson is still in as a list MP. Labour get 17 list MP's, so there is a load of dead wood on that list. Including the (former) Police Minister, Giny Anderson at 17, who lost her seat Hutt South.

Everybody missed the sly srategy Luxon played. It flew over aĺl the media heads..
Remember 6 weeks ago when winnie was about 2% and stagnant but TPM were 4% and king maker!!
Well Luxon saw a way to get the right activated, kill Off TPM and negate a left coalition...
He simply said he would negotiate with Winston which gave Winnie a kick in the polls and gave all those voters an option to keep luxon honest (real or percieved)...
Thus winnie became the king maker option abd TPM were screwed.
What happen next..
Hipkibs is ditched.
TPM become more radicalised and dissapear.
The Greens lose their voice and Shaw leaves. No more overseas junkets for that wanker
Wunnie is brought into the fold as a silent partner and to back lucksy on C & S.
Labour scrap for a new leader and fall to below 20 % for the first time.
Luxon and seymour prove inspriational

wow, the Mainly Socialist Media are really choking on the election result. Home page of Red Radio is all about Hipkins, nowhere are the Nats or Luxon even mentioned. I will not even click on Stuffed, Ferald or Newsgrub's sites. They need more lemons delivered to them to suck on,

The big question is. Will luxon see the term out?? I believe he will not get his way and through a paddy.
Winnie will be all over him and Seymour will make bullets and get Winnie to fire them.

I will not even click on Stuffed, Ferald or Newsgrub's sites. They need more lemons delivered to them to suck on, One of those sites is having a big bitch about Winnie. Stuffed and Tova it was. Winnie explaining to them at the start of a presser this morning, "any bullshit questions and this presser is over". Given they've been asking Luxon if he believes in dinosaurs, that was a legit statement from Winnie I think. He then went on to tell Tova a few home truths, which she didn't appear to like, and said the MSM aren't doing the numbers. It is straight forward, there is still 20% of the vote to count, which wont be done till Nov 3. Winnie says wait till then to do anything. It is highly likely the ACT/Nat vote will drop and then they WILL need Winnie. Given the special votes always favour the left (cause the left are special), this is a very legit approach. Tova finished by saying that even though 6 or 7 journo's will filming him, Winnie continues to complain that the media never listen to him. It looked incredibly spiteful from Tova. And again, a legit statement from Winnie. PS, I think everyone was covering Hikpins, cause he said he had a new partner. Very funny. I googled it, apparently everyone was trying to work out if it was a Tony or a Toni. Did our ex PM just come out of the closet in his election concession speech?

I think the special votes will be more right then left especially if they come from disenfranchised voters who were either locked out of NZ or have recently left NZ for a better life overseas.

I sussed around Sunday morning, we have no telly and ignored the world, to see a very wide range of reactions and coverage. RNZ was bizarre in it's lack of anything election, what a bunch of twats.
It'll be interesting to watch the MSM over the next wee while to see if it changes it's ways now it's gravy train has been pushed off the rails. I see signs of softening in the odd reporter..., sorry poor word choice, it should be commentator.
