looks like the high quality pics of the shooter they're looking for will turn him up sooner rather than later
wonder how soon after sentencing he'll be walking the streets again, 10 years?

Moved D1 into a place one building back from Ponsonby Road a while back. I was chatting other last night about another impending Daddy and Daughter Road trip (to another real WTF like place) and she said 'Oh someones letting off fireworks just outside'...................... and then a few minutes later the sirens started. In other news, another floater in Bayswater this morning apparently, word is a live abroad. Hopefully the word is just an inaccurate rumour. I get the impression from the both the mainstream media coverage, and social media chatter that this particular incident has more people unsettled than the average run of the mill firearms incident. I suspect media know more about it than the police have said yet, but a few things already stand out: Chapel Bar is not associated with any particular crowd, i.e. a crowd that would be associated with gangs or organized crime etc. At best it is a pizza place that does drinks, and is noting as being a bit trendy. Noting it may have changed since I lived around the corner, but, Ponsonby Rd isn't accustomed to the type of carry-on you'd expect around Fort St. Police have not said if the victim and shooter were known to each other. If this was a random act, people will be very nervous. Normally, these things are ding-dongs between known criminals. I'd say drugs are involved as a minimum. Oh, and I would not be at all surprised to hear about (classy) drugs around Ponsonby. People feel far more comfortable when badies are busy killing other badies. Everyone generally knows the areas badies frequent and go somewhere else. So either this was a complete random, or the badies have decided to air their laundry in a trendy place and everyone is freakin out.

This headline is very topical to this thread: Prime Minister Christopher Luxon announces $1.9 billion plan to make NZ safer Prime Minister Christopher Luxon is announcing plans to make New Zealand safer. He says there will be a "significant investment" in funding for frontline Corrections staffing and services. Corrections Minister Mark Mitchell says the coalition government will spend $1.9 billion over the next four years on more prison beds, prison officers and rehabilitation for remand inmates. Yeah I’ve changed my position since my post last night (pre-Ponsonby Rd shooting).
It’s not a question any more.
And I don’t care what the media bias is.
Crime has gone up. Fact.
Or if it’s just my perception, that’s effectively fact too.

In the news this arvo it suggested the victim wasn't known to the shooter it was totally random. That's a tad spooky but then if that fat fucker Hone they are looking for is the shooter he'd just been blocked from going into a bar and he looks the type to take things like that badly.
But then was it Climate Change that shot the dude?

Same would work with freedom campers. It has never been rocket science.

so the shooter was a killer beez member the guy killed and the people shot at, appear to have had no link to him at all now the shooter has been found dead in unexplained circumstances near taupo hope they set up a task force and go after the killer beez to extent they can with current laws make an example of them, in their short time they seem to have been involved in more violence than their size would warrant www.youtube.com/watch?v=KzETaYDqwZg

So why was he packing a gun into a pizza joint on ponsonby road on a sunday night ?
Seems like a premeditated hit to me .
Also a possibility he was suffering from drug induced paranoia when he saw 4 brown guys walking towards him and shot an innocent party .
The shooter may have got offed by someone higher up the chain to protect their trade , his identity was well known just a few hours later . Also an outside chance it was Utu .
That’s my Netflix influenced opinion .

jacinda's children “We’re sort of down to the point where we’re getting them [incidents] a couple of times a week and that might be them [customers] putting their hands on you, it might be somebody coming in with a knife and cutting through cables to steal a device,” One NZ chief consumer and business officer Chris Fletcher told Markets with Madison.“We are seeing a massive escalation in that.”For example, One NZ’s Sylvia Park store manager was held by the scruff of his neck by an angry customer for about 10 minutes two weeks ago, over his refusal to accept the return of a used device."www.nzherald.co.nz/business/scale-of-retail-crime-leads-one-nz-to-close-auckland-store/H3DXIEQ5FJATXPTZOG4MJKGOYY/what would labour do differently? someone get ginny on the record on how labour would fix their mess when they've bribed back the swing-voters
