From another forum i'm on here's part of the conversation. "Black Power moved in to a Pack n Save today. Posted guards at the door, chucked all shoppers out, filled their trolleys and left. Without paying of course. Nash gave them a telling off. Thank goodness for that." Here lies the problem "OttO" Not sure what you want me to do? A number of people have told me same, and I got it from a woman whose mothers lives over the road from the supermarket. Alan Chinese whispers

How about just telling it like it is? Doing the media's job. Not in receipt of part$55m to hush things up. Like Hawkes Bay ? Just a possibility

Nash is a prize idiot with a bigmouth and little action. There once was a man named Nash Whose big mouth was quite the rash He talked a big game But his actions were lame And his idiocy was quite the bash.

for shooting at the police and into their car, $5,000 damage???
i wonder what the penalty handed down by the judge will be?
probably take 6? months to come to trial and they'll be held until then?
so just time served? and some vague good behaviour bond that will never be enforced
so the drunken? shootings will continue until someone gets hit
at which point their defence will be, "we didn't mean it, we've done this so many times and never hit anyone, how were we to know that shooting at people could result in harm?, it's not like anyone ever offered us firearms training, not really our fault, it's more the fault of the police and disturbing OUR party and colonialism for preventing us from achieving our potentials?"

One was 14, the other 17, so they are minors, which means ff they are found guilty of murder, then they will receive a life sentence with a non-parole period of 10 years. That's the legislation in NZ for 12 - 18 year old's. If the defendant is over 18, then the non-parole period can be extended by any number of years and can even be extended to life without parole which has only happened once in the history of NZ. That said, there is a law that allows the sentence to be reduced if it can be shown that given the circumstances of the offence and the offender, a sentence of imprisonment for life would be manifestly unjust. Eg having someone in there 90's who was found guilty of murder at the age of 14, still reporting to a parole officer every week 76 years later could be considered unjust. There have been examples where the court of appeals has quashed lower court judges sentencing of minors under the "manifestly unjust" legislation for life imprisonment, but these rulings made it crystal clear that it was NOT a guideline or a precedent. In 30 years time, when they have been out on parole for 20 years with exemplary behavior track records, they might bring a case before the court of appeals and ask that there conviction of life be squashed to 30 years. So I reckon each offender will initially get life with with a 10 year non-parole period, unless they come from a rich family with really good fast talking lawyers and they can throw lots of money at the problem, and someone how prove that the kids had a drug and alcohol abuse problem, and then they might get 15 years+ and 7 years non-parole.
