Power and control takes many forms. Who is doing what to who. Why ? If the good citizens of Oxfordshire want to sit in a traffic jam...so what ? It's another social engineering experiment. Just like NZ is/has been. Like electronic banking covid lockdowns.,cc legislation.Β Β Governments now follow communist paths where it's government OF the people. For the benefit of the ruling elite. Full stop. Look at Oz. Dopeys closing coal fired electricity plantsΒ with no replacement generators. Watch and see what happens to them when Liddell closes in April. Plus they then knock them over leaving no power. Yep that's right God damn it... If I want to drive without a license then so what? If I want to build an apartment block that doesn't meet the building code then so what? Why do I need a passport to travel? Why do foreigners need visas to live and work in NZ! It's communism governments controlling what I can and can't do. And how fucken dare Auckland Council put these T2 lanes in! Communism control freaks stopping me driving where I want. Because having a licence to operate a vehicle is the same as being digitally confined to a certain area by communist extremists implementing policies developed by the worlds elite who fly around in private jets and exempt themselves from all the rules they impose. Just more demented drivel from our resident self appointed minister of truth.

Maureen Pugh has just been reigned in by the party machine. Her earlier statements ,sensible and considered were changed just a few hours later. Draw your own conclusions. Luxon is just another pawn in the Leftie agenda and apparently is unaware. Lady you want to keep your job?? Then you better agree even if you dont. How can she in 2hrs form an honest opinion on whether man made change or not.

Silly bint. Should have stuck to her guns and asked Shaw to provide evidence.
That what she meant to say.. .
" Until shaw replies to my letter, climate change is unproven"

But would the reply from James (CC-GW) Shaw change the facts?

But would the reply from James (CC-GW) Shaw change the facts? who cares she was trying to hold Shaw to account.. it was never about the climate! .. in my mind

I think Luxon missed a chance to hit Shaw, get him to answer the question.
it has hurt him and his party, it should have been a chance to stick the knife in like Seymour.
Could be a play to cuddle up to the greens if necessary but that would be a pretty long shot.

So thatβs got me wondering β¦.what the hell happened that we needed 5 times more electricity out of Huntly ? Increase in new households ? 5 times more EVs ? Colder winters ? Massive uptake of heat pumps ? Less gas available from Maui ? as much as would like to Blame a muppet for a 5X increase in coal burning there must be other contributing factors ? Article was paywalled .

Alot of consumer demand with not much new generation coming on line. Tauhara geothermal is due to come on line end of the year. Quite a few Sth Is users requiring large quantities of heat eg dairy factories and hospitals used to have coal fired boilers, they have had their arms twisted to convert to electric heating which is a lot less efficient.

Heres some more research that shows how little scientists know and just how absolutely mental the CC cultists are. It turns out that the seasonally flooded amazon produces "several kilo's" of methane/ha/day. For comparison, a dairy cow produces 320-330gms of methane per day so at a typical stockong rate of 3 cows/ha we arrive at around 1kg methane/ha/day. So will we have to start taxing the amazon for contributing to global warming? e360.yale.edu/features/scientists-probe-the-surprising-role-of-trees-in-methane-emissions"But in a world where corporations plant trees to offset their carbon emissions, we badly need to know if their numbers add up, or if they are undermined by the complex chemistry of trees and methane." βWe found a consistent story that the trees all emit a lot of methane,β she says. βIn the seasonally flooded part of the Amazon, the trees become a massive chimney for pumping out methane.β Emissions from individual trees were more than 200 times higher than any previously measured anywhere. This was not trivial. Every hectare of flooded forests was emitting several kilograms of methane each day. The on-the-ground findings doubled previous estimates of Amazon methane emissions to around 40 million tons a year. The trees were emitting as much methane as all the tundra ecosystems of the Arctic, whose permafrost contains huge amounts of the gas

The trees were emitting as much methane as all the tundra ecosystems of the Arctic, whose permafrost contains huge amounts of the gas It's important to remember that everyone is entitled to their own opinions, but resorting to name-calling, profanity, and rudeness is not productive or helpful in any way. It's important to engage in civil discourse and have respectful conversations even when you may disagree with each other's perspectives. Additionally, while it's true that there is still much to learn about climate change and its effects, the overwhelming consensus among scientists is that climate change is a real and pressing issue that requires immediate action. Rather than dismissing the research or the concerns of others, you should seek to engage with them and work together to find solutions to this global problem. Your selection of specific findings in that report seems to have been cherry-picked and taken out of context to support your collapsing narrative. Before continuing, I want to note that cherry-picking and taking findings out of context is a common tactic used by climate skeptics and deniers to misrepresent the overwhelming evidence of human-caused climate change. It's important to examine the entire body of scientific research and not just select pieces that support a particular viewpoint. That's the only way we can have an honest and informed debate about how to address this critical issue facing our planet. Putting your quote back into context, the report states: Nobody is arguing that trees are therefore bad for climate and should be cut down. Indeed, in most cases, their carbon storage capability easily outweighs their methane emissions. But in a world where corporations plant trees to offset their carbon emissions, we badly need to know if their numbers add up, or if they are undermined by the complex chemistry of trees and methane. After reading that very well written report, (thank you for brining it to my attention), I will add that:Trees have long been known to absorb carbon dioxide, but recent studies have shown that they also emit and absorb methane, a potent greenhouse gas. However, determining the net balance of a tree's methane emissions and absorption is challenging as it varies depending on several factors such as season, age, and location on the tree. Despite this, the role of trees in mitigating climate change goes beyond just methane emissions. They also help to store carbon, recycle moisture, provide shade, protect biodiversity, stimulate cloud formation, and cleanse the air. While all trees emit and absorb methane to some extent, some emit more than others. Thus, in reforesting efforts, it's crucial to choose trees with a low methane footprint to minimize their contribution to climate change. However, it's essential to note that the benefits of trees in mitigating climate change far outweigh their methane emissions. The bottom line is that while trees emit and absorb methane, their role in fighting climate change is critical, and ongoing research is necessary to understand their complex contribution to the environment. Continuing to support science and finding new discoveries is crucial in identifying which trees are best suited to absorb CHGs (greenhouse gases) and mitigate the impacts of climate change. Without ongoing scientific research, we may not have a clear understanding of the best trees to plant and how to optimize reforestation efforts to have the greatest impact on reducing carbon emissions. As we learn more about the complex relationship between trees and the environment, we can make more informed decisions about which species to plant in different regions, taking into account factors such as their methane footprint, carbon storage capacity, and potential impact on local ecosystems. By selecting the right trees for reforestation, we can maximize the positive impact on the climate and biodiversity. Moreover, science also plays a crucial role in developing sustainable land use practices and improving agricultural techniques to reduce emissions, protect ecosystems, and promote food security. By investing in science and encouraging innovation, we can make significant progress in addressing the global climate crisis and achieving a more sustainable future.

Name calling? I can only assume you are referring to CC cultist? If the shoe fits...
As for the rest of your post(s) I have had to stop reading them. Your posts are increasingly become gibberish ramblings interjected with cut and paste government propoganda typical of far left extremists who can't accept that they are being duped regardless of how much evidence is placed in their lap.
