as previously said new york cleaned up it's crime problem in the 80/90s by being tough on minor crime now called the "broken windows" policy the message filtered through that if even minor crime was being heavily penalized no doubt major crime would be too the result was a substantial drop in crime rates for 20 years www.city-journal.org/html/how-new-york-became-safe-full-story-13197.html?wallit_nosession=1but now that that generation of boomer bureaucrats has been replaced by a new generation of woke apologists, anxious to 'improve outcomes for criminals' , crimes rates are soaring again
"Those moves mark a return to the zero-tolerance, “broken windows” policing strategies that were widely credited with reducing crime in the Big Apple during the 1990s"nypost.com/2022/03/23/nypd-revives-broken-windows-as-adams-fumes-over-shootings/... the sad but inevitable result of labour's "be kind", let-you-off-with-a-warning, catch+release, 'soft on crime', we-arrested-you-but-won't-charge-you, so it looks like crime is decreasing, approach has of course led to minor criminals becoming emboldened to to level up the number and seriousness of their crimes AND bringing their young friends and cousins along too *It comes after Auckland Transport was forced to introduce safety screens on buses to protect drivers in December last year after a "startling" increase in violence towards them.
AT's executive general manager of safety Stacey van der Putten told Newshub last month the increase in violence is making it difficult to hire drivers.
"Levels of harm that we've seen this year are over five times more than the previous four, five years," van der Putten said"www.newshub.co.nz/home/new-zealand/2023/01/mass-brawl-on-wellington-bus-sparks-calls-for-police-on-public-transport.html www.1news.co.nz/2023/01/16/1-hospitalised-after-road-rage-on-auckland-motorway-following-crash/ www.newshub.co.nz/home/new-zealand/2023/01/five-youths-with-hammers-and-a-machete-arrested-over-several-vehicle-thefts-in-hamilton.html www.newshub.co.nz/home/new-zealand/2023/01/person-arrested-after-allegedly-fleeing-police-crashing-into-fence-in-hamilton.htmlwww.newshub.co.nz/home/new-zealand/2023/01/youths-steal-ice-cream-in-latest-ram-raid-four-people-in-police-custody.html www.stuff.co.nz/national/300785252/auckland-cricket-club-has-trophies-stolen-pitch-torn-up-by-motorbike-riderswww.nzherald.co.nz/nz/focus-live-police-update-overnight-waikato-burglaries/RQCC4DVYZS7Q4UZDGJ4VEKHKCA/... when they say the reasons for crime are "complex" they're admitting the ideology they're using has no answers reducing crime is not complex "The police measure that most consistently reduces crime is the arrest rate of those involved in crime"

^ It is very difficult to make a successful attack on a politician who is more credible than the accusers. For some time voters have told pollsters that David Seymour is the country’s most trusted MP.
Act’s policy of giving people control over their education, health and welfare is the opposite of defunding.
The personal attacks on Act’s Maori MPs calling them “useless Maori” and “vanilla” Maori has backfired. Voters do not believe Act’s long standing opposition to co-governance as unworkable is motivated by racism.

Couple of days ago I had a 15yo grandson and 13yo granddaughter (different families) both had a great dislike to the current PM, I don't use the words they said. Different family, the grandson is from a rural area and goes to Pukekohe High and the granddaughter stars at Macleans College this year, totally different ends of the spectrum you could say.

not enough that hipkins is gay the woksters can't have him because he's still a white male?.... maybe he should change his gender www.newshub.co.nz/home/politics/2023/01/election-2023-chris-hipkins-obvious-choice-for-new-labour-leader-political-commentator-bryce-edwards.htmlhe's in a bit of a bind if he ever wants to be leader take the hospital pass now and when they lose...... they'll toss him for kiri
let kiri have the top spot now and when they lose......they'll keep her, as she "didn't have enough time..."
maybe he'll play the long game....support wood for the job...when they lose they'll give kiri a go.....and when they lose? again in 2026, he'll "reluctantly take the job"
of course if they ALL want to avoid the hospital pass, maybe they'll convince grant to hold the space until october???

Ardern didn't have the fortitude or moral backbone to standup to the Maori caucus.
Racism gone mad in labour party. Great! It will be their undoing!

"Allan has long been tipped as a talent in the party and future leader. It's likely the party would want to keep her clean until her time comes.
If Labour is looking to recapture the "stardust" of the 2017 election, there may well be a bottle of Kirimania up the back of the top shelf of the pantry.
The major question, however, is whether now is the time to use it. It could be an inspired move, akin to bringing in Ardern in the last throes of the 2017 election. But that's with the power of hindsight, knowing that paid off for Labour that time."
the 'young fresh woman' thing - sucked up 90% of the female vote in 2020
after it turned out to be a over-hyped and under-done though, it's hard to see the same 90% of female voters falling for it twice with a less relatable "young fresh women"

So what do you call those who were born raised and have their lives uniquely shaped by the environment known as New Zealand? New Zealander's, colloquially known as Kiwis. These are the people associated with New Zealand, sharing a common history, culture, and language. Originally composed solely of the indigenous Maori, the ethnic makeup of the population has been dominated since the 19th century by New Zealanders of European descent, mainly of English, Scottish, Welsh and Irish ancestry, with smaller percentages of other European and Middle Eastern ancestries such as Greek, Turkish, Italian, Lebanese and other Arab, German, Dutch, Scandinavian, South Slavic and Jewish, with Western European groups predominating. Indigenous New Zealander's (Maori) are subset of all New Zealander's. Indigenous Australians (Australian Aboriginals) are a subset of Australian's. I have looked pretty hard, and I can't find any evidence, that the term indigenous has ever included people born in a nation without ancestorial ties to that nations first people. I've looked hard and as far as I can find Kiwis are a shortish bird like creature covered in feathers, while I'm not tall I'm also not short and I certainly am not covered in feathers so it's highly unlikely I'm a Kiwi. I also get smothered by Govt Deot demanding shit as I'm dumb enough to be tagged as 'director' and in all of that shit being a New Zealander is not an option, as far as I can see the Government of the land the world knows as New Zealand does not recognise any of the people on it as New Zealanders. You can be a Maori, a Aussie, a Tongan, German, Russian basically it recognises every country and a shot load that are not even countries in the world except New Zealand itself. So I can't be a Kiwi nor a New Zealander but as I am 100% a product on the land known as NZ I can only be the same as a Maori. It's all very very basic and simple once you strip out the politics of the day.
So as you like to be political and have that racist streak you can be like many and run with the newer political version of indigenous, I'll continue to run with the original non-political version, one pushed by Maori until relatively recently when a few elite found out how much coin was up for grabs so have also pushed to change the meaning.
In other news I'm sure you'll be a bit pissed off the KDC has dumped the racist angle it had for a long time and is now gone inclusive. Sorry about that but as a rate payer while I'm still not a fan of the time wasting bullshit at least it's now not the racist bullshit it has been for so long.
As for not being able to find the original meaning of indigenous I'm not at all surprised. A few years ago Stuff ran a big article about how renaming NZ to Aotearoa would be so so wrong on many and all levels....then the Government changed and put mega millions up for grabs for any media who would swap to being Govt Propaganda. Now Stuff goes hardcore promoting Aotearoa as what NZ should be called. Follow the link to the original Stuff article now only gets you '404 page not found'. I do have copy of that article if anyone wants one. But it is a glaring example of how the Govt, a Government that is controlled more by one race than all or any other, and it's highly paid sell out bitches can control the narrative on the day. The meaning of Indigenous is no different then that article.
I'm now off to be a 'other PI' again as I am not recognised in my own country purely due to political reasons and NZ is defiantly one racist as fuck little country which is getting worse by the week, partially due to people exactly like you.

“Polling for Labour is not looking flash and there are certainly indications that the polling will probably get worse as the year goes on,” says Coughlan. The question then is whether any candidates would want to take the risk of becoming leader only to be rolled if Labour does eventually go on to lose the election.“If the new leader takes them to a decent performance in 2023, they might then have the mandate to stay on and try to do a bit better next time around.”The question now is whether anyone with longer-term political ambitions will be willing to risk becoming Labour leader at a time when momentum is in favour of National. The full picture will only start to take shape once Labour has appointed a new leader and a new strategy for the party is outlined. In the meantime, Labour will be hoping to avoid the years of chaos that washed over National after the departure of English.www.nzherald.co.nz/nz/politics/the-front-page-as-ardern-departs-will-next-labour-leader-simply-be-a-placeholder/IABGP5LRPVGG7MF6TP3Q6WPJOE/
