they have said they will repeal alot of That Alot = wishful thinking. That is an entirely none-specific term. You can't even quantify 'alot'. They have so much wiggle room, they can do anything they want to appease any potential coalition partner. I'd be dead keen for you to pin down exactly what National will do, because no-one else can. They are being as obtuse as possible. To be fair, it is a very good tactic. Most people will vote for them purely because they are not Labour. It is exactly what Adern did in 2017. Swapped from Little to Adern, no changes in policy, went from 20-something percent to in power. Act on the other hand, have already set out exactly what they will do, in detail. You know what you are getting there. You don't with National. I am beyond any and all doubt that National and Labour are organised and controlled opposition working together to implement UN policies. Voting for National and hoping for a different direction is living in fantasy land. |

It's popped back up over here due to the low turn out in the local body elections. Personally if it was compulsory I'd just deface the paper unless there was a reason not too i.e. the choices aren't only being shot, being drowned, being rogered by an angry Blue whale or having to spend a week in Sydney. I think compulsory voting only benefits the pollies, it gives them more ability to say 'the people voted so who am I to blaa blaa blaa....' as they cause carnage country wide. The same 'endorse/legitimise the polly by sneaky arse marketing' is the why they push 'If you don't vote you have no voice'.
better not to vote than vote for a person who has little or no policies ( most canidates) / hidden agendas / the wrong person/ anybody! That is exactly how I do it myself. If I deem someone worthy of my vote they get it, if not they nor anyone else does.

A wasted vote is worse than no vote as it adds to the talley of dumb/ wrong votes and outs dumb minorities into a power broking mode. Correct. The war was so can enjoy our freedoms that we enjoy today,But sadly being eroded.Was the millions lost of life worth it?? Had change at work semi managerial position.Lasted 2 weeks. Never been one to pussy foot around. Its a changing world.No longer allowed to tell employees "your a cunt and should fuck off and find another job" apparently I needed to ask are they coping and how can I help. And "Hey princess would like a cup of tea and a lie down" is not acceptable. |

I would argue that you have that wrong. The people who gave up their lives so that we could have the right to vote were mostly civilians who went face-to-face with militaries opposing democracy. That is what mostly happened from Athens on down. Generally, militaries are not fans of democracy. On Jan 6th 2021 the US military knew that a Reich-Wing insurrection (or Auto Golpe if you prefer) was going to happen. And they mostly sat on their hands. |
