Hi all - another one climbing up the stern ladder ... Re vaxing youngsters, friends in Taiwan tell me there has been a suspension of vaxing 12 to 15 year old boys due to multiple cases of myocarditis . Crikey 😳 |

"My Vaccine Pass will include your name, date of birth and a QR code. The pass can be saved on your digital device or printed as a physical copy."
currently am on the mycovidrecord page mycovidrecord.health.nz/vaccination-recordspresumably it should be in the I want to...
-Book a COVID-19 vaccination(external link)
-Get a COVID-19 test(external link)
-View my My Health Account details(external link)
-Request a vaccination confirmation letter for overseas travelbut it's not.... maybe later on? maybe it's somewhere else? does anyone know where it's supposed to be? otherwise will plug away until it appears... |

The statement on the certificate saying "Immune" is bollocks, the vaccine may reduce the severity of infection, certainly does not stop you getting it. Considering that the effectiveness of the vaccine is only 3- 4 mths after being jabbed, that typically an infected vaccinated person carries the same (or in some cases greater viral load) than unvaccinated, and that they may be asymptomatic whilst infected so could be spreading it around, I fail to see what real public health benefit the vaccine certificate provides. |

ok got it being emailed now the "I want to" section used to have 4 choices but once updated offers 3............... the lost choice, overseas travel certificate, is now moved to next pagebottom choice is "View My Heath Account Details", previously that took you to a new page with just the 2 pfizer shots + dates etc but once your page is updated, will still show those 2 shots and dates, but above those are 2 new buttons left being - Request pass or certificate
click that and you get to chose between order a My Vaccine Pass for nz or a certificate for overseas travel  then you get to check the details on the pass and have it emailed to you as a pdf the pdf arrives on a computer looking like this, which i guess you could print off  |

rather than printing a paper pass for the wallet if the pass pdf is downloaded to the phone it is recognised as something special and the choice is given to save via 'android pay' ios equivalent, apple store?saving to 'android pay' created a new ap? with a ministry of health icon on phone home screen  touching the new icon brings up the QR pass sized correctly for phone and ready to scan or view  will wait to tomorrow to get wife's 'mycovid record' identity sorted and then get the rest of the family up to this stage |

Isn’t this a similar concept to the widely used and long-proven airline e-tickets? In other words the system applies a bunch of background validation checks before assigning a personalised ticket / visa / boarding pass which manifests itself as a QR code enabling you to move through the airport and board your flight etc.

Permission to travel / fly / move about
Did nobody think of asking Air NZ to knock this up for them?

On Apple in the email if you click on the add to Apple wallet button it adds it to your apple wallet  You then access the Apple wallet the normal way and it appears as an option to select alongside in my case a couple of credit cards. Actually better than I expected. Still wont make up for the four months of lockdown. |

And does it show any expiry date eg 6 months after 2nd jab and required future date of any booster? |

I have had no success yet,,, it asks to set up a profile with My Health, it sent me an email verification 6 digit code, Ive entered that ,,, but nothing further happened after 10mins of waiting...
Im now on hold on phone to MoH with my NHI number,,, hoping for an answer sometime this week..
Not really in a rush to get the Pass, because where would it let me in currently ?

Hi Fogg, it shows my name DOB and an expiry date of May 2022. As it is a QR code that I cant get to scan I am not sure what it says. I assume you will need to be fully vaccinated to get one?

I wonder how they will police boating between regions,Auckland to BoI and Coromandel & Cook Strait
And whats up with the 17th January date, does the border come back? Thats going to stuff Bay Week. I doubt a border will come back but why give an "until" date?
